Girls, Would this catch you off guard?

I was FaceTiming with a guy friend who I’ve known a little over a year now. He out of no where says “I didn’t know you had boobs” (😂). The funny thing is my boobs aren’t big but I had on a new bra I was trying out (the bombshell bra from vs) My response was “maybe it’s this bra” I was so caught off guard I didn’t know what to say.

Do y’all think that was inappropriate?
How would you all have responded?

If you guys are close, I would have replied the same way. He probably meant it in a funny typa shocked way. If you aren't close and it made you uncomfortable, you should tell him to refrain from making such remarks
