I honestly don't think I've ever had sex without my kids in the house since having them. Waiting till they were out would be impossible since kids never leave the house without their parents anymore

When I was married and we had kids, we often had sex in our bedroom with one of the kids bedrooms right next door. We just kept the noise down and the door closed... the kids knew never to come into our bedroom if the door was closed. As they ot older, they knew what that meant... that mom and dad were having some "alone time".

I think it matters if its two parents or if one is a one-night stand makes a gigantic difference in how a kid mentally handles this. Regardless NO kid should have to hear that!!! If you can't be quiet enough or modify something to prevent being heard, then you need to be an adult/parent and not!

Our sons room is right next to ours and we have sex a lot, we try to be quieter when he is home but we sure as hell ain't going to stop having sex just because he is home

Have and do. We don't go out of our way to cause a fuss, but a sex life is such an important part of a healthy life and healthy marriage. If we had to work around the kids, we'd never have sex and there'd only be one kid.
