  • Ever chatted with one of those AI bots? I mean at this point it's sort of questioned whether they actually are intelligent, but it might be disturbing, their responses can seem sort of childlike, for that reason hard no. Also if they truly are a growing intelligence you may be doing something they may resent later... it is still developing, and part of the programmer's goal would surely be to have it "at least" mimic human emotion and you just might stir up a mess of worms you don't need. So no.
    A purely mechanical device? Sure, why not... people do stuff like that all the time already
