This is a good question.

I ___did___ have sex with someone's wife, but it wasn't out of revenge. We had mutual attraction and her husband abused her, so she left him the day before we met. She is my wife now. So, while I did not like the idea of being "the other man", I accepted what I did because their marriage was over even if it wasn't legally so.

Perhaps you could say that my now-wife had sex with me while previously married as a bit of revenge, but I don't think that was the case. I think we were simply hot for each other.
