  • Neither one. I don't want a boss I don't want a supervisor I want a leader it doesn't matter what gender. If they have to be a leader to get my respect a boss or supervisor. Is just a babysitter doesn't know much about their position except for they have a title and that everybody must listen to them. I my job I have five or six guys from the first day that they started working with me I have 2 rules never call me boss or supervisor or otherwise you're fired. If you see somebody struggling and need a hand , help then we are a team we are all 1 we all work together. When we are finished with the job and we'll have our name on it

  • I have had both, men and women as Managers and Supervisors. Some VERY GOOD men and women.

My only reservation with a woman manager/supervisor is having one that has not been a manager /supervisor prior and feels that she has to 'prove' herself as a competent manager and at times over steps herself when dealing with subordinates. In my present job with the State of California, I have seen this happen and had a VERY confrontational situation with a woman who at one time was my 'friend'
I think women can be and are very good managers and I have no objection to reporting to either a man or woman.

  • I have a long work history with a few female bosses, but mostly male bosses. I chose male boss here because they always seemed to treat me better and we're more understanding if I needed time off. They we're more apporoachable than the females. Some female bosses are Stern and act like a man - I call it penis flexing!

    • "Sex worker" is the pc term for a sex worker.

  • Sorry gals but I have worked for both men are better at being a boss than we are. Women are moody and catty to each other. Men are simple and just want results, also they are easier to manipulate.

    • I know an executive level woman who doesn’t trust female bosses. She said the same thing, men are simple and just want results.

    • @Jersey2 with male you can get promotion in ways that doesn't work with female boss. ( Only females can claim this benefit not men unless the boss is gay )

    • @postaldudePL123 yeah, maybe at a retail store or a corporate office in 1970…

  • 1 males are overrated
2 females might understand little things that matter to us compared to men
3 men boss are good too... unless you come across a male boss who has a high ego... and men with high ego tend to work alone. those who dont are successful businessmen.
4... but when female bosses who have high egos they'll strive for more success, but they'll always have a heart.. and slightly emotional and still sympathetic.

thus, why female bosses are better

  • this way i can always suck his cock to keep my job or gain a raise

    • Does it matter if he's taken?

    • are you kidding men will always take a blowjob if taken or not... it's not romantic it's not like they'd take me on a date... but we're talking about something that didn't happen just a thought.

  • The females seem to be a bit more understanding but are never satisfied. The males make great eyecandy but can be super intimidating when mad. So yea I don't know.

  • Their gender doesn't say anything about whether they're a good boss or not.
I've had male bosses and a female boss and they've done a great job all of them.

What's important to me is that they are capable.

  • Female boss would be cool

  • If a person is a good manager it does not matter what gender.

it is often fun how different each tackles various issues and methods used.

We did a load of management training in Air Forces, as obviously you are there to both lead and to manager, people, tasks etc.

Often a poor manager is simply someone without experience, training, or out of their depth.

Just because someone is a good supervisor, does not mean they will be a good manager etc.

personally, the sign of a good boss is how well they motivate, protect, listen and guide their personnel.

They are also able to use various types of leadership and management styles depending on a given situation.

  • Definitely male. Never C in a million years, LOL! I wouldn't mind a female boss, but in my experience, many women in positions of power get catty and paranoid and often aren't concerned about the success of the company, but rather, just their own personal successes. The job I'm about to leave now had a lazy, petty female manager. But on the real, most mid-level bosses kinda suck.

  • Non binary seems like they would be easier to deal with and more humble. I’m sure they’ve been through a lot in life and would most likely have empathy toward other people.

  • I prefer a male boss because I’m always rejected by women. Women don’t want succes for other women. They compete. Therefore I choose men

    • Exactly. I work good with guys, not as good with other girls

    • @erin_ireland yes me too!

  • It does not matter to me as long as I get along with him/her and they are a good leader.

  • I’m pretty happy either way. The individual management style tends to differ more than the differences between the sexes there I think.

  • I am married, so I already have a female boss.

Actually, I have had female bosses and they are fair and decent. For certain reasons, I often feel better with females. For other reasons, I prefer males.

  • I am self employed partly because I don't like working for ANYONE, no matter what sex they are.

  • I actually appointed myself manager, and one of my first doings as a manager in charge, was to fire my male boss as my boss... and appointed a female as my boss. All this was not a thing based on gender, it was just the thing that had to be done, and for things to work best.

It's a family business, by the way

  • I've had both male and female bosses. Both were cool so I don't care.

  • A male boss is less prone to react emotionally

  • Where is the “Does not matter” option?

  • I need my boss to be competent. Otherwise, I first lose my respect and next my motivation.
Out of the few lady bosses I had, the majority was playing silly power games.
So from experience I'm cautious - but I'm not not generally against it.

  • I’ve only had female bosses so I’d like to have a male. Female bosses are difficult to please and always seem to focus on the unimportant details and struggle with the big picture.

  • Well I've never had a nonbinary boss before
