Superb Opinion

  • 20 years ago, I would have said "This dude is gay." Not as a slur, but as a matter of sexuality. I knew several gay dudes when I was in the military, although they never dressed like this. Only some of the more flamboyant folks did, and they weren't typically joining the military. Anyway, the gay guys I knew were some of the best dudes. They would drop anything on a dime to come help you if you needed help.

However, in the modern age, I'm more likely to believe you're dysphoric in some way before I think about your sexuality. Reason being that gender dysphoria has become widely accepted as being "okay" despite the sexual, emotional or other traumas dysphoric people tend to have hiding in their minds.

And please know I have a lot of empathy for people with traumas. I grew up poor, my parents were drug addicts, and I was both physically and sexually abused by my father. So I think there are many things that people with trauma could relate to me on. The difference, I think, is that I found ways to cope and express myself without wanting to change myself, without wanting to go against some sexual grain, or without wanting to express myself through deviancy or through a sexual lens.

And I think that's what it mostly comes down to. Learning to deal, feel, and frame trauma in a healthy way.

    • That’s very informative 💖 I will say it’s okay to just look at me and tell me I’m gay or trans if that really is what you think 💖🏳️‍🌈

  • You can do what you want. But you definitely wouldn’t come off as hetero to me if want to know the truth. I would either assume you are gay and/or you got some sort of dsyphoria going on.

However I will never be rude to you if you are just minding your own business while I mind mine (nor should anyone else). I would be respectful in the work place. Friendly if you’re friendly.

But I have to ask; are you really happy and fulfilled acting that way? Maybe you are. If yes the more power to you.

But I from what I’ve observed a lot of people with dysphoria issues often have other deep seated issues going on. And these issue pre-existed well before they made these changes in appearance.

I would get counseling by someone who can give you a unbiased viewpoint of what you are doing. Someone who is trained but also honest about what is best for your mental health and livilihood.

I have a good therapist I’ve been seeing for years. He sometimes tells me what I need to hear vs what I want to hear. Especially if it’s about deviant behavior. He doesn’t condemn me but he tells me what the long term can be.
