Even if you’re not having kids, base it on if you were babysitting someone elses kid or something... My mom used to ask us to go to my grandma’s house. We refused so she said fck it and she got her groove on and we had to hear that shiit all night. I felt traumatized honestly but it was my fault for sticking around failing at cockblocking. I honestly just made me wanna grow up and get her back in hopes she’d catch me having sex. I have found this to be a very controversial question, even for the philosopher that I am. I tend to have the opinion that sex should not be a taboo and should not be hidden from young humans.

If you look at native tribes and aboriginal people where sex is practiced in front of children, in tribes where breasts and many times also genitals are not covered in shame but worn as natural parts of the body, there are no ill effects on the children. On the contrary, those children will develop to be healthy adults with no self-shame and no mental issues like can be found in today's western cultures.

When these western kids find out one day about sex and how it is practiced by everyone hiding from everyone else it plants a sense of shame and non-acceptance of their own bodies in their subconscious. Very unhealthy. It is parents' responsibility to help the young humans in their care develop a healthy view of the human body and human behavior, to accept and embrace these aspect of our selves. Especially when we are talking about the most joy-giving physical experiences a human may have.

If they're not my kids I'd wait until they go home if they're my kids I'd explain to them that mom's and dad's need their alone time and they need to mind their own business and when they're older you can explain that private time between a husband and wife or just your own private time by yourself or with whoever is important especially for a relationship and also just for each other's personal time and everyone needs to respect one another. It's ok not to be ashamed of sex and it's a good thing to teach your kids a healthy respect for sex and let them feel comfortable to ask you questions I had a niece tell one of my daughters that she would (my niece) because they used duct tape. Yes duct tape which obviously she was just trying to be a bigshot and I told my sister it was time to have the talk with her daughter but the point is your kids are gonna hear all kinds of stupid shit and you want your kids to feel comfortable talking to you instead of trying duct tape
