I am a Christian. (Let me make that very clear.) I don't think God makes mistakes when he assigns gender. Period. So, I don't want my possible future kids to go to school, see all their friends using whatever name, gender, or bathroom they want, yet coming home and having me tell them it's not right and that God made us beautiful and just the way he wants us. Excuse me for feeling this way, but I feel that if you're going to be in the male's bathroom, when you drop your pants there better be something there resembling the male genitalia. Same for women. Little kids in the 6th grade know that if you have a penis, you're a boy. Why can't adults understand that, too? If you have the surgery and you now have a vagina, by all means, come on in.
I really don't care what you do in your free time. You can sleep with other females, other males, other biological males, other biological females, you can wear dresses over your hairy man chest or shave your hair and glue it to your face to make it look like you have a beard. I really don't care. However, if you invade my privacy for the sake of "your transgender rights" or "not offending you", you'll have to get along because I will not give those up without a fight. I have rights too, you know. None of them specifically state that I have the right to pee in a room exclusive to my gender, but I do think that we shouldn't force this on people who don't want transgender bathrooms.

you've got your facts totally mixed up. if there's a separate bathroom for transgenders, then transgenders are not even allowed to use your bathroom. in fact the whole idea is totally messed up because it means that when there is not a transgendered room somebody that was born a male and has now had an operation to look female now has to use MEN'S rooms and vice versa. your kids are more likely to realise transgenders are using facilities than before so that idea is totally wrong.
anyway, your god does NOT always allocate people to one specific gender - so beautiful and natural - hence in the cases of hermaphrodites. but you would shun those people away from using the toilets of their identified gender.

I don't really understand why this is a problem and why transgender's need their own bathroom. Granted I haven't spoken with every transgender person but I think that if you use male pronouns and dress like a guy and consider yourself a guy then you would use the guys bathroom. Same goes for those who consider themselves girls, I think they would use the girls bathroom. But what do I know.

LGBT individuals have rights and their rights conflicting with her religious beliefs is whose problem? It's her problem. People of any minority group should not be forced to submit to the rules set by people of a religious group that they very well may not align with. Her belief that God made everyone the way it intended is a completely religious belief. It has no scientific merit. It doesn't belong in the realm of law.
@G-Daz the problem with using religion as the basis of law is that not everyone shares the same religious beliefs. Separation of church and state didn't happen for no reason, it happened because the church was in bed with the governments, fostering corruption and persecution. The law in the modern age is supposed to be secular for this reason. You wouldn't want to live under sharia law any more than these LGBT groups would like to live under Christian rule.

I am by the way a practicing nudist and have been all my life, so it isn't about the physical sight of nudity, it's about those who use it as an excuse to do terrible things to others. Visiting some of the French and Dutch islands in the Caribbean I have used the common facilities without concern and that is with both sexes using toilets without barriers.
