Church services are clearly meant for an adult audience anyway—the book they read there is full of pedophilia, rape, sodomy, incest and all sorts of perverted scenes. Children should not be forced by their parents to sit under a grown adult who reads to them from a book that has content so inappropriate for minors to be exposed to.

They are literally forced to worship, bow down to, confess obedience to, and profess love to the super old figure who leads the institution. Every meeting. How cultish and sick! Those kids are being brainwashed and victimized by these people luring them in with promises that they have all the answers to life, only to be told they are evil and have to change their identity, conform to the group mentality, and practice all the group behaviors in order to be happy and loved.

Yet another youth pastor turns out to be a sexual predator. Can we just ban children from attending church already?

All as their parents just hand them over to these random adults EVERY WEEK, even against the child's wishes! They just care about making their kid fit their agenda, no matter the cost. It's foul. This shouldn't be tolerated any longer.

Ban minors from religious institutions.

  • Home school your own kids end of story

    • If I ever have them obviously I'm homeschooling. But this isn't about my kids. It's about kids in general. Churches clearly aren't safe for them, and I don't think other parents should be able to force their own kids into those dangerous places with pedophiles.

  • Not surprised. The Bible teaches that these devils are minister of Satan and be among Christians.

    Most pastors are devils.

    • How do you figure most are devils?

    • @Bananas83: Bible says so.

  • Better yet, we should force churches to pay taxes.

  • 'Yet another teacher turns out to be a sexual predator. Can we just ban children from attending school already?'

    • Yes.

    • Do you have any alternative ideas?

    • Most schools were able to go virtual during COVID. No reason they can't, with a little time, get it smoothed out totally virtual. Except sports and whatnot, but with just extra-curriculars being in person it would be much harder for instructors to act predatorially. Parents are often bring their kids to those and can then be present.

    • Show All
  • Christianity is a cult, and so is all organized religion. Where in any holy book does it state that you have to go to a building to worship a god?

  • There’s all sorts of school teachers and daycare workers that have abused kids. Just saying

  • I agree with you 100%. 💯

  • Your take is incredibly biased. To be clear, I'm atheist, but what percentage of pastors have ever done that? You'd have to take the number of pastors that have ever been, and compare that to the number of pastors that have been caught doing that. Sure, you can say "but some of them don't get caught!" and you'd be right. But we're likely talking about infinitesimal numbers, here. Even if we say there's 10, 100 times more pastors doing this who don't get caught, we're likely looking at a 1 in literal millions odds. Let's just assume every church in America has had 50 pastors (extremely rough estimate, it's likely way higher), that's 19,000,000 pastors (Nineteen Million).

And your wording is biased, too. These children aren't going there and hating it. They're not really being "forced" to. You could apply the same logic and say children are being "forced" to go to school but you aren't freaking out about it and I doubt that'd be the terminology you'd use when describing it. And I went to church when I was young and I don't ever recall a single bit of pedophilia, incest, rape, whatever.

  • You remember when people were attacking the Catholic Church for this. Well here's the thing these sexual predators go where their prey are that's why the boy scouts had such a huge problem with it. Look at the historical stuff that went on in orphanages. Look at the US gymnastics team. In the uk young boys were being abused by youth coaches. Look at female teachers who rape male students. Look a the abuse that goes on in Foster homes. Then every so often there's stuff that happens in kids nurseries.

In the uk there's police checks done on anyone wishing to work with kids professionally or voluntary and those organisations have to follow special guidelines such as basically you can never be left alone with a child, there is always two adults.

Point is that it's not a religious thing.

"And thus I clothe my naked villainy
    With odd old ends stol'n out of holy writ;
And seem a saint, when most I play the devil."

    • So we should enforce police checks for everyone who is allowed to work in a church since children attend all churches? That may help. I never said it was a religious thing. But now that you mention it I think the police even have a problem with sexual crimes involving minors. So police may not be a good enough safeguard since they could be predators themselves. Would still be better than literally no safeguards though. Even if it wouldn't be as good as just keeping kids out all together.

    • Here's the truth about police checks in the UK for working with kids, they aren't worth a f*ck. Unless they've an actual conviction there's nothing stopping them.

  • Now talk about all the pastors who aren’t diddling kids...

... and talk about all the trannies shaking their naked bodies in front of children in drag shows.

    • Exactly. No matter how many pastors are good people, we know that some are bad. So kids shouldn't be allowed near ANY of them. 1 victim is 1 too many. Explicit drag shows would also be inappropriate, which is why kids already aren't allowed to attend those. The church should take a lesson from them and keep their mature themes to mature audiences.

    • Pretty sure churches aren’t holding mass where they strip and twerk for their audience. Try again, degenerate.

    • Nudity isn't the only form of explicit content, moron. You think The Thing is appropriate for toddlers?

  • I am an atheist (i feel like i should announce that) and i agree that priests, pastors shouldn't be left unnatended with kids
