  • When I'm eating, I'm eating. I'm not sitting there eating to having a conversation, I'm eating because I am hungry. People who talk and talk and expect me to talk just as much kind of piss me off, because while they're talking and while I am responding so I don't come off as rude, nobody is chewing and eating their food. So rather than focusing on the meal and enjoying it while it is fresh and hot, the entire exercise takes far longer than it needs to and my food is getting cold.

    This is even more annoying when I'm on a 30min lunch break. That doesn't give me much time to relax a little and eat my food when I'm by myself. Instead, I have to entertain someone else with their pointless small talk while rushing to shovel in my meal in between sentences as the clock winds down and I have to get my ass back into work.

    If someone has something to say or talk about, there's plenty of time in the day to do so... Don't fk'n do it while I'm eating.

    • By the way, this doesn't seem to be in the right section, as I find nothing sexual regarding regular eating or regular talking.

    • No prob, was just pointing it out. I saw this on the front page but at the top in the app it notes Sexuality. Could just be the app playing up.

  • The food and the conversation are probably bringing me equal pleasure. But I can't deny I like to get the food out of the way so I can focus just on conversation. It's hard for me to talk and pause for eating :)

    • But that's something socially that I think I have to learn :)
