All men are dirty-minded -- True or false?

I was having a casual conversation with a man in his fifties who worked in a factory as the superintendent.He sudddenly took out his wallet and showed me a photo of his mistress(he cheated on his wife) and asked me if she's pretty. I didn't say anything and he went on to say that he wanted to have all the women in the factory,even those in his twenties but too bad he's not that young anymore.I felt disgusted and criticised him for being dirty-minded. And his reply was,''All the men in this world are dirty-minded!'' and he said he knows this because of his age and life experiences.And by men,he meant males and not just mankind in general because he used the Chinese phrase ''nan ren'' which has no other meanings in Chinese other than males.Your perspectives? Or are all women dirty-minded too?Haha.Kindly cast your vote downstairs if you can and thanks.

  • It's definitely true that men evolved to instinctually desire having sex with many different women, and particularly younger (fertile) ones. If you look at how other mammals mate, you'll see the same things: an older, powerful male will mate with many females of various (sexually-mature) ages. Why? Because this behavior is best for "survival of the fittest"/"natural selection". The strongest, most successful males breed with most/all of the females, with the weak/unsuccessful males rarely if ever breeding. This improves the genetic stock over time. Humans' instincts are the same.

    Granted, humans have developed civilizations, and we've created rules, such as marriage, to reduce the number of wars and to help reduce the number of bastard children (remember, for most of history, only men could own property, and only legitimate children could inherit properly and titles), because otherwise, we'd have powerful men with harems and a lot or ordinary men who could never get a woman. (Truthfully, you still have that to some degree, if you look at celebrities as the modern version of the "powerful"; they sleep with hundreds or thousands of women, because they CAN).

    So, if you are using the desire to "sleep around" or for older men to sleep with younger (fertile-aged) women as the definition of "having a dirty mind", then, yes, all men do. Not all men can REALIZE this ambition, but virtually all men have the instinctive desire to.

  • I am around a lot of guys at work that about that age. That age is usually very dirty minded. As they get older...in there marriage. Their wife usually loses interest in sex. So it becomes an obsession to them. He should be talking to you like this. It could be sexual harassment.

  • "all" is the problem word for me. afterall, some men are asexual. so how could they have a dirty mind? some women have dirty minds too, like me :) and some women are asexual. I think all people who are not asexual have a dirty mind.

  • It depend on what your consider dirty minded..if it's being proud of cheating on his wife, then no...all men are not like that. If it's dirty minded as in "I love sex" then probably but then I'm dirty minded and many women are, just like men.

    Studies show that men think about sex or can turn images/etc. into sexual thoughts ~7-10x more often daily than a woman.

    Men get aroused at the drop of a hat, women get aroused after ... much stimulation ... the time it takes to MAKE a hat.

    Men are done early, women are still in the swing/swoon of things and want it to continue

    That said, each person is affected at different volumes, e.g. one man might be a timid voyeur while another might be a proactive flirt, probing for a real sex encounter.

  • I'd say it's false, but with saying that I'd say 99.9% of guys are... It's hard not to find a single guy who doesn't have a dirty thought in his mind, I mean I don't have a mentality to have sex with everything I see, nor would I use a girl just to get laid.     If we weren't, we wouldn't still be around as a species. Think how much more boring life would be if guys didn't go chasing after women. All the cool stuff we do to impress them never would have happened. All the stuff women do to attract us and control us would never have happened. We'd probably still be scratching around in the dirt, trying not to get eaten by the local predators.

    Anyway, the bottom line is simple. Evolution pre-programmed men to be perpetually horny, prone to violence, and smart enough to be very good at both with the right training. It's just part of what we are.

  • Absolutely not. Do we think sexual thoughts? Yes. Do we inventory the body of an attractive woman? Yes. Do we "accidentally" bump her to feel her but or boobs? Yes.
