The difference between a B and C cup is only 1 inch. It's really not much. You probably grow about an inch or so when your period comes on.

In fact a 34B is actually equal in volume to a 32C.

Cup size isn't static it's relative to band size so there's actually no such thing as a "B cup" at all. A 38B is equal in volume to a 36C=34D=32DD the only difference is that a girl that wears a 32DD is slimmer in stature than one that wears a 38B, but they both have the same size boobs.

So a "B cup" and a "DD cup" could actually be the same size.

  @Bysshe why would this mean we need a "better" system? so guys can discuss breast size more accurately or something? This may shock you, but bra sizing is about... finding the correct fitting bra, not comparing breasts.

  @Bysshe The system is actually PERFECT. Problem is very few people actually know how to read it! Have you ever heard the statistic "80% of women are wearing the wrong bra size"? Well, it's pretty accurate and if only 20% of women are wearing the correct bra size and all you see is that 80% that are in the wrong size walking around talking about how they're "b-cups" or "d cups" not knowing how bra sizes actually work OF COURSE 90% of the public is going to have a terrible image of what bra sizes actually look like! Most people don't actually realize that the band size is the width around your underbust.. it's how big or small the woman is as a person and the cup size is just how far away from your chest the boobs are. Even looking at these comments @nimbus24 said "My boobs is 34 C cup even though I am super skinny" well.. you can't be a 34C if you're "super skinny" there's just no possible way she's probably actually more like a 30DD or 28E at only 87 lbs

  but of course she's probably never even HEARD of a 30DD/28E bra size because most bra companies don't want to carry a large variety of sizes because of the expense and choose to try to keep most women in 32-40 AA-DDD even though bra sizes go from 28-56 AA-L (but again debate for another day) and also she's probably used to seeing celebrities like Pamela Anderson walking around claiming they wear a "DD" bra size (my guess is that Pamela Anderson probably wears something around a 30H she's no where near DD range). Most women automatically think "well, I'm no where near as big as Pamela Anderson there's NO WAY I could be a DD" and even if you tell them they're not a C cup they'll think they are because they're so used to women with their size boobs walking around saying they're a "C-cup" all the time. People not understanding how bra sizes work is a societal issue which needs work. It has nothing to do with actual bra sizing in itself

  @been_waiting I wasn't meaning it should be changed for men, I just thought it would make more sense if the cup size actually referred to the volume of the cup part. @Tatiahna Perhaps there should be another reference measure for bra sizes that refers to the actual breast size (which is what most men assume cup size refers to) - I'm suggesting this purely for men's benefit, wouldn't be useful to be able to quantify the size of breasts independent of a chest circumference measurement?

  @Bysshe it does refer to the volume, only the volume is relative to the band size. It is easier that way.

  @Bysshe no, because it's not for men and once you know how to read bra sizes it's easy from there. The whole thing is cup size isn't about volume at all and it'd just be super complicated to make it that way. In order to do what you want we'd have to invent a whole new system altogether which is just plain redundant. If you want to get a picture of the volume of a breast by looking at the size the best technique is probably to size up or down to a 36" band (which is what most people who are uneducated about bra sizes are thinking of when they say things like "c-cup" or "dd-cup"). Rules for bra sizing volume are if you go up a band you go down a cup. If you go up a cup you go down in band size. So, say a girl wears a 32DDD that would make her equal in volume to a 34DD, and 36D (so a girl that wears a 32DDD probably looks like what most guys would picture a 36D to look like),

  @Tatiahna That was a typo where wrote about men's benefit. Thanks for clarify a few things, I didn't realise what cup sizes actually meant, talking about B or C (or whatever) cups seems fairly meaningless then (without a chest measurement).

  Creating another system would be WAY too much work. You'd have to do something like write all possible bra size combinations and divide them into groups like:
  Group A: 28A, 30AA, 32AAA
  Group B: 28B 30A, 32AA, 34AAA
  Group C: 28C, 30B, 32A, 34AA, 36AAA
  Group D: 28D, 30C, 32B, 34A, 36AA, 38AAA
  Group E: 28DD, 30D, 32C, 34B, 36A, 38AA, 40AAA
  
  We're only to a 36A on the chart and I've already divided different bra sizes up into 5 groups. Just doing a rough estimate in my head with all different bra sizes without making a list this woman braband.s3.amazonaws.com/.../...3e2549d6bc193b.jpg would probably be in group 18... you'd have to memorize 18 different groups of bra sizes to get to this woman's size and you'd have to memorize in your head what the boobs in each group of sizes looked like and yeah.. that's just a whole lot more work than learning how to convert volume yourself is.

  Hi @Tatiahna I always think that the cup is the roundness of the boobs and the number is how far away the boobs from your chest. Lol my boobs are so round so I think you're right it could be a 30 DD.

My boobs is 34 C cup even though I am super skinny. I weigh only 87lbs and Im not tall either, my height is 5'1. So I choose C cup.

Every size has it's own appeal... but never having dated a girl with less than a C I think it would be disingenuous to vote for lower... especially since my ex was an F.

I voted C, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't be perfectly happy with B's. Some of the nicest breasts I've ever seen were 32Bs.

It depends how big she is, on a petite girl B cups could look better, on a bigger girl I'd probably prefer C cups. Both are great though, D cups are a bit big for my liking (though still fun).
