I'm not too picky on what it looks like, although i do have an ideal vagina in my head, as long as it is clean, well kempt, and tight enough on the inside to give me pleasure.
Though, it DOES have to be shaved. I'd prefer for it to be waxed or lazered, but it HAS to be at least shaved bare, and kept that way. The sight of any hair whatsoever on a vagina disgusts me.
If you are curious as to what the ideal vagina looks like: it'd be pink colored, not red or brown, its labia minora would be tight and compact, and both the same size, it'd have a small clit that is barely exposed, and nothing is hotter than how the labia majora fold over perfectly and look like a hotdog bun when she closes her legs.

That seems strange to me but I guess it explains why so many young people know so little about sex and their own bodies these days. Apparently 29% of women don't know where their clitoris is... this should NEVER happen. I can only imagine the lack luster sex these people are having... It honestly blows my mind. I am indifferent to how a girl's vulva looks and how she grooms it.. It is what she was born with and its grooming is her preference. What you see is what you get. I may have unspoken ideals but they do not affect my appreciation of the girl I am with. She (and you) will never know them. Hygiene is different. Any intelligent girl should know how to maintain her V so as to be ready for the closest contact... oral sex.. I like it either trimmed or waxed. Shaving makes it irritated and makes bumps, but I also don't want a jungle down there. Waxing gets all the hair out without the bumps, though, and lasts much longer too. So I just went with that.
Rule of thumb boys. The longer the hair the stronger the smell. The hair follicles trap sweat and absorb urine that was not properly wiped plus they also magnify the natural smell.
