I personally never did the whole Garter/stocking thing but think it's a sexy look/ idea. Just wonder if women still wear and if men find it more attractive.

My generation was on the cusp of the transition from stockings to tights. The miniskirt made tights mandatory. Sadly when hemlines dropped tights stuck.
Worn properly, stockings have the advantage that knickers can be removed rapidly for quickies. They also allow better ventilation - tights do seem to cause more odour.
I also think the thigh gap of stockings very erotic, but that is probably because of early experiences.

If you're looking to wear them daily, you need ones made for it - probably 6 if not more straps (the 4 strap are more for show) with a bit more of a solid belt then some.

Also note that your panty goes over the garter belt, so you can go pee without having to detach and re-attach your stockings. As a side benefit, you can have sex without detaching and re-attaching your stockings.
