I've heard women include men being gay in their complaints when they talk about not finding a suitable partner, so I'm wondering do straight women feel threatened by gay men?
I doubt a gay man is a potential partner for a straight woman.

Generally no. Most people do not that their lack of a partner is someone else's fault. Certainly some do. We see a lot of hate on GaG for mixed couples from people who feel that they have been robbed of a partner by an outsider dating someone of their race/religion/whatever.
