I'm on the combined oral contraceptive pill. Been on it for almost 4 years, it's great since I can skip periods or make one come when I want so it doesn't bother me when I have plans one week. Haven't had any issues with it.

Before that I had the Jadelle implant which I had for 5 years, in the last year it started causing a lot of issues. I was fainting pretty much every time I stood up and was incredibly tired every afternoon, also had really heavy painful periods which caused me to black out many times.

  No birth control doesn't make you infertile. Only makes it so you can't get pregnant while you're on it. Ones such as the DEPO shot can take almost a year to regain full fertility

  It takes 15 weeks to wear off but getting pregnant isn't easy, it could take one try or it could take months to over a year of trying.

  No... Getting pregnant in general isn't easy. There's only a very small window of fertility each month. Life span of an egg is 24hrs. Fertile window is about 6 days. So that 72 days out of an entire year that you have a slight chance like 3% of getting pregnant

IUD is not an option. I started with condoms and quickly went to taking the pill. Now I am so happy that IUDs are an option.

I’m not on any birth control but going to get on the pill soon, I’ve relied on condoms a lot or pull out method before not gonna lie lol, I just tried to track when I was ovulating or when I wasn’t.

  @Paige90 Yes, I was put on BC to try and ease my extremely painful and heavy periods... Sadly and very unfortunately puberty hit me very hard and early.

  In that case you've either misread or have been misinformed... Providing my doctor is happy with the continuation and there are no side effects, I could remain on birth control until my fifties or until the menopause hits me.

  Well I've no great knowledge at all about the shot so I can't very well comment. As for my pregnancies... Before I started trying to conceive I came off the pill to allow my body to again readjust, and on both occasions within six months I fell pregnant, maybe "Lady Luck" was looking down on me!

  In become pregnant at the end of the day it is still purely down to good luck and fortune. It took almost four years for a very good girlfriend of mine to fall naturally pregnant... At times it really is just the "Roll Of The Dice".

  That is not true. Your fertility all depends on your age and your body. Taking birth control for years will not slow fertility
