I think I'm jealous of this guy. *Internally screaming* But seriously, I think he does still have at least some feelings for you, but isn't going to act on them since you're not single. And he still wants to stay friends regardless. I've been in a very similar situation with another girl before, and it took her flat out admitting she doesn't like me that way and never will to make me accept it (she also said that she loves her dog more than she loves human beings in general but that's beside the point). Being in his situation myself once, I know if he likes you and you don't like him back, he is trying to get you jealous because maybe if another girl likes him, you will see his value.
But he's ALWAYS brought up girls... and he is deff trying to find a girlfriend. Poor thing is lonely. I'd really have to know him to answer that for certain. Not all guys are the same in this area. If a woman rejects me she has to be something really special for me to be interested again. I can be friends with her but crushes by their very nature aren't logical. Hence the term " lovesick". You crush on people because you find them attractive. Then something triggers you to think they might feel similar ( maybe it's how they talk to you) before you know it you're analyzing and overanalyzing everything they say and do. Once a person has been rejected they build up an immunity to these feelings so the misunderstanding doesn't happen again. If i had to guess he probably likes you, he'd be open to sleeping with you. And on some deep level he may even still have feelings for you. When i crush on a woman that never COMPLETELY goes away. But i wouldn't hold your breathe expecting anything to come of it again. A woman has to pursue me if ahe becomes interested after she's rejected me.
