People usually ask me if I double date people of both genders. For me, even though I’m attracted to both genders, I am fully committed in a relationship. I hate cheating and even if those feelings come up then I break up with the person immediately.
Friendship always comes first.
When I told two of my girl best friends about it, they were scared that I had feelings or were in love with them secretly. When it comes to these things, I value my friendship and wouldn’t want to break it with that person. I have a type with girls.
No, we are not bisexual because we are confused people.
Before you call me out on this, just consider this.
Some people just automatically assume that because we are confused about some circumstances in our life, we become bisexuals. This belief is so stupid that I can’t even begin to explain how wrong it is. I am bisexual because it is my choice, not because I’m depressed or because I am in an it’s complicated situation. It’s how I have always felt. People think they know better than you and try to explain why you are bisexual.
No we are not in it for threesomes.
As I have said in the first point, people always feel that bisexuals are slutty and promiscuous since they have sex with both men and women. While there is physical and sexual attraction between both genders, we also require that emotional connection.
It is not a trend.
For all people who lie about being bisexual just to grab attention and support, you are truly disgusting. Some people do it to turn their partners on. Being bisexual has its difficulties and a person lying about it makes it worse.
We don’t need your advice or opinions all the time.
I found out that whenever I open up to someone about being bisexual, they always begin to tell me how it is unhealthy to have more than one gender preference and they start with religion and about it isn’t like God. Don’t get me wrong, I believe in religion and God but when you bring this up, it’s really insensitive and offends us.
For all those out there who are bisexuals out there, remember its ok to feel like that. Nobody should make you feel bad about it. Thank you to all the people who support us.

I knew some people in high school that claimed to be “bisexual” as part of a trend.
I personally don’t care either way, but doing it for attention or as a trend is dumb. Of course those people don’t represent all bisexuals.
Now I will say is why do some people identify as pansexual? I seriously don’t see a difference between pansexual and bisexual.
Pansexual is only going the person's personality and not caring about their looks or from which gender they come from. But bisexuality is different since bisexual people often a type they go for and it can be based entirely on looks.
Gotcha. Maybe pansexual has a different meaning. I met a guy in college who said he was pansexual and he said if it’s pretty, guy or girl, he’ll fuck it and I just thought isn’t that just bisexual? Not to even judge or think less of the person.
It just gets a little confusing when I go on okcupid and see people list themselves as “heterfexible, sapiosexual, “gender queer”, CIS, etc and if you don’t get their orientation right, you’re intolerant which is a little silly and again that’s not to belittle them to being attracted to one gender or another, or both.

Bisexual literally means exactly what it says. The sexual attraction to both genders. It doesn't mean anything about how a person dates or how they have sex. All of that is individual.
Nice take!, No disrespect, but the only qualm I have is that you used the Term "Its my choice" I don't believe anyone's sexuality is "By Choice" I think we are hard wired. Your "choice" you refereed to, I believe is really your ability to recognize your desires\sexuality in a healthy manner.. I don't believe you can choose to be BI anymore than you can choose to be gay or lesbian or hetero.

I mean you are 15, your brain doesn't stop developing until you are 21. Plenty of people who were straight when they were 15 and turned bisexual when they older, or people who had a bisexual phase in their youth until they grew out of it later in life.
I always wondered about those who actually had to tell me they were bisexual so I would know.
