My daughters told me they can hear me/my husband having sex. They dont want to hear us at all. How can we have sex without them hearing us?
BACKGROUND: I just got remarried a couple of months ago to an absolutely incredible man. I have two teenage daughters from a previous relationship of whom I have full custody (I don't want to go into the details here, but just know their biological father hasn't been apart of our lives for a long time). My daughters get along super well with my husband/their stepdad. We've got a very good thing going on family wise.
With that being said my daughters recently told me my husband and I are too loud when we have sex. They said they can usually tell when we're having sex because they can hear us because of the noise our bed makes and when we knock against the walls (and sometimes because of my heavy breathing when they're passing by our bedroom). They're very happy about my relationship, but they don't want to be able to hear us having sex at all.
I'm actually a bit embarrassed they could hear us. I thought not moaning or talking would make it so they couldn't hear us. I've been trying to think of ways to be completely silent, but I just don't know if we can do that. I think if we're going to have sex the bed kind of has to move around and we're going to make some noise against the wall. I also don't think I can prevent myself from breathing heavily when I get excited.
I honestly want to think of a way to have sex without having my daughters hear it, but I think the only way I could do it is by completely restraining ourselves to the point where we couldn't do much anything at all. But am I missing something? Is there a way where we could be completely silent during sex (at least so my daughters can't hear) and we could still move around the bed (which I think we kind of have to do during sex)?

  • Noise canceling headphones

    • I actually will probably suggest they get some of those as backup in case my husband and I are being louder than we think. Haha

  • Do on the roof

  • Easy.

    Be quiet.

  • Turn up some Barry White to drown out the love making. Also put something like a pillow between your headboard and the wall. Then have them watch Transformers and play Call of Duty.

  • at your age you should know this by now
    1. car
    2. hotel
    3. outdoors ie woods no one around
    4. elevator
    5. beach no one around
    6. park no one around
    7. motel
    8. bathroom at a restaurant or somewhere
    9. dressing room in a retail store
    10. when they're not home
    11. send them to the grocery store and make a huge list for them to get you stuff
    12. when you're at work at the office
    13. soundproof your house

you really should know these things by now especially at your age

  • Buy them head phones.

    • They already have headphones

    • Doh! Than start being more quiet.

    • They don't want to know we're doing it at all. If they put on earphones it's because they're already hearing us/aware we're having sex

  • Is moving into a different house an option? How often are you and Mr Wonderful rolling around in bliss?

    • I'm 100% going to continue to be the best mother I can be for my daughters. Consequently moving into a different house isn't an option. As of right now on an average/normal week Mr Wonderful and I will have sex 9 or 10 times a week. However, we're both super busy, so most of those have to be quickies (unfortunely). 2 or 3 (or 4 on a good week. Sometimes even 5 or 6 on a great week) of those are decently long to long sessions of sex. (And it's pretty common for us to have a really long session of sex 1 or 2 times a week)

    • I didn't mean you and him move out and leave the girls behind! I meant can the entire family move into a new house. There are "split" floor plans that have the master suite far away from the other bedrooms.
