SHOWERING together?

So my boyfriend suggested that we shower together, I didn't want to but do other couples shower with their partners. Just wanted to know?

This is different for everyone. Really, it's one of those "What's the worst that could happen?" things -- it's not like yr really putting anything huge on the line here -- so, you may as well at least TRY it, unless you are literally repulsed by the very thought.

For me, though, this is a big box of NOPE:

• NOTHING in life is being worse than being the person who ISN'T under the showerhead at any given point. That's just the worst thing ever. And, unless you have 2 showerheads, it's gna be that way 50 percent of the time, on average.

• Smells are one of the best parts of gettin' it on.
Showers wash away smells.
Do you rinse yr steaks before you eat them? You get me. This is DEFINITELY a net loss -- and a big big big one, too. If you are into yr partner, you should be ENAMORED of his smells. You should want his smells all over you, on you, in you. You shouldn't even WANT to go anywhere near a shower for a while, after that. Mmmmm.

• It just gets really uncomfortably hot and sticky.
It's hard to feel sexy when yr own sweat is dripping into yr eyes and stinging you, and stuff.

• Repeat after me: WATER IS NOT A LUBRICANT. Hopefully I do not have to explain this.

• It's easy to slip on the wet floor once things get intense. Of all the ways you might get hurt in this life, is THAT what you want? hahahah

This is not QUITE as bad as having sex in a hot tub -- which is basically the worst consensual sexual experience in the world -- but, it is almost that bad. It's like the #2 worst.

Pretty much everytime my boyfriend is here. You don't have to have sex in the shower (which is super difficult and dangerous). Showering together is always just sexy and intimate since you're both wet and slippery and naked. It's a great foreplay methode lol.
But if you don't feel comfortable doing it for some reason, then tell him. He'll respect that.

That's going to be one of the best things you two do together! Showering together can do multiple things. You get to be more comfortable being naked in front of him and vise versa, you get to wash each other's body parts and hair, you can shave each other, you can make out and have sex, you can save water, and you can get to touch each other everywhere! Oh hell yes. I've enjoyed doing this since I was a teen.

I'm not sure why so many girls find it weird, but it seems that they do. Probably less than half of the girls I've been with were enthusiastic about "couple showers", with at least half being visibly uncomfortable at the idea at first. Almost all of them came around and ended up enjoying it, but a few couldn't get past whatever issue they had with it.

Once past their fears, though, having someone to wash their back and hair and rub them down became something they looked forward to - sometimes with incredible enthusiasm... :)

Yup, common enough do that oversize shower stalls are becoming a standard feature in new home construction as well as remodeling.
