Why are so many young teen girls claiming to be lgbt?

Members of these communities have always existed but they seem to be disproportionately represented in young teen girls. You do get teen boys who are but their numbers are similar to other age groups, its definitely a girl thing. Personally I think they're just jumping on the bandwagon because they think it's trendy and once they're older and had a proper fuck they'll be cured.

  • It's definitely trendy, and even more, in certain circles (especially in high school and college), it has become a privileged class that is catered to and told that they are "special" and treated as special. We all know that there's a LOT of girls whose fondest desire is to be special, so if they have to kiss a girl or cut their hair to be told they're special and treated as such, they'll do it, even if they aren't really sexually attracted to women.

But the other thing is: around 1/3 of all women (in western culture, at least) go through a bisexual/bicurious phase - usually in their early/mid 20s but sometimes younger - and they are attracted to women for a couple of years before realizing that being with women isn't all rainbows and Hello Kitty either, and that they have many of the same issues they had with men in relationships. Most of these women get past their phase and only date/marry men from then on out. But 1/3 of women is still a BIG number of women.

  • I think they are taught in schools these days from a very early age. The stated goal is to encourage tolerance. But I think it also teaches children, who know nothing yet about sexuality, to start questioning their "gender identities". It becomes cool to be different. In previous generations, kids copied their peers or joined cliques like Goth or whatever. Now they are some form of queer. Anything but a plain boy or girl.
I think it's a form of social engineering to transform culture. I haven't figured out the motive for the agenda yet, but you can bet there is profit behind it. Maybe there is benefit to certain shadow elites to tear society apart in order to gain control, similar to the way they use race and other divisive issues.

  • I dont think it is a case of being 'cured',. Certainly it is about following a trend, wanting to fit in and be seemed to be cool.

As an adult, I made the conscious decision that I wanted to be Bi, I made that choice for myself because it is what i want.

If it helps them in self discovery, then I see no real issue. I just don't think parents should live through their children.

I will raise my son as a boy, if and when he comes to. me asking the questions, I will answer them and give him the best information I can to help him. I only want him to be happy.

  • Well, teen boys are usually idiots so that could be why. Teen boys are also poor. These young teen girls should find mature sugar daddies to teach them how to pleasure the human penis and in return, they would get compensation. Hopefully, the sugar daddy could teach the youngster how to invest her new money so she won't be a drag on society later in life. If these girls want to enjoy sum sniz on the side, or in a threesome with their mature gentleman, that would probably be acceptable to daddy.

  • Teenagers are trying to find out who they are. It's not our place to judge their journey to self discovery. Let them be and figure it out themselves. I thought I was bisexual as a teen, but wasn't sure and was scared to talk about it because I grew up in an extremely homophobic place. As I got older I got more comfortable with the aspect and know I am bisexual. We're all just trying to figute things out.

  • I think it's partly an identity claim to appear unique, but I also think it's important to remember that non-heterosexual preferences only very recently became socially acceptable. I'd wager that the same number of women who are bisexual today, would have been bisexual 50 years ago too.

  • What is lgbt

  • Indoctrination at school. Herd mentality. Pop stars and celebs that promote it.

  • it could be they are trying to follow the crowd or it could be that they see it's more accepted now and less of an issue coming out

  • I mean if a girl is a Bi guys find it hot and i feel like in a weird way people socially accept girl on girl more than man on man.
So maybe it's cause how people accept more of them than not. Since i haven't ever seen homophobic behaviors at my schools too girls of course i could be wrong and just never saw it but i feel like guys were more bothered about guys been so and girls ain't bothered about a lesbian girl.

  • It's all about getting attention and to be part of the LGBTQ so they can say they are marginalised and oppressed as that's cool these days.

  • A bit of A and C combined.

  • Cos their hormones are all over the place, curiosity, peer pressure, trendy, mass media saturation, easily led, hidden agenda to further divide society. Basically anything but uniqueness.

  • In the past, it was seeking attention. Nowadays, it’s to blend in 🤷🏻‍♂️🌈🏳️‍🌈

In my opinion, only a minority of these teens are serious about their homosexuality. I can’t tell you how many clowns claim to be bisexual but still never touch anyone of the same gender 🤦🏻‍♂️

  • Follow the trend on social media not your brain 🤪

  • A, B, C
There are different reasons but they all are bullshit
    It's for the attention mostly.

All the real lesbians I know are fat and ugly. They only became lesbians because they were fat and ugly

If a girl is lesbian and not ugly she is probably lying or had an abusive male partner or something.

  • I believe half of their claims are true however part of me can't stop wondering if this is a trend of a way to have more advantages

  • Liberal media makes it seem cool and different to be LGBT. It's like the emo kids in middle and high school.

You have shows like Riverdale queerbaiting making showing young sexuality is cool.

Also girls do it for attention lots of the time.

  • Most young girls are so impressionable and superficial, they just want to seem cool, hip, in. This last month is a great example.

  • It's more than likely a bandwagon thing. I don't think one can say for sure that they are LGBT unless they have the proper life experience first. I see it happening with girls even in their 20s. Like I have a female friend who all the time shares LGBT stuff and always feels the need to mention that she's bisexual, but I've known her for damn near 10 years now and I know for a fact she's never done anything with a girl and has only been with guys.

  • I think there is a large difference between gals and guys here, with sound evolutionary reasons.
Males seem to have a clear split between straight and gay. It seems that mother's who already have sons are more likely to bear a gay boy.

Women, on the other hand, primarily need a partner to help raising children. That means they are more flexible in their choices (any port in a storm).
Given that, young women may be more content with a female partner, avoiding various risks a male might present.

  • I think girls have always been more open to the idea of it, but I have no doubt that the bandwagon effect is a dominant factor.

  • Humans go through that stage in life.
it is just that there is a positive community surrounding it now so scared the little babies are thinking "everything is so right for gay folk, I will be gay you because I hate my parents and they hate me"
it's all the humans trying to get accepted from each other, they don't care where it comes from

  • So they can say their a part of something
