As a black man, my relationships interracial relationships with women have fizzled out. It comes to a point where I get bombarded with questions about why I am an educated black man driving for Uber. Or why after losing my job it takes so long for me to get a new offer.
I have heard it said that men have the biological instinct of herders and women have the instinct of gathers. In the dating market, it is said that men are the providers and women are the nurturers in the family. While we have evolved over thousands of years, the complexity of racism is a direct threat to a woman’s biological instinct of finding a mate that will provide resources and security.
A white woman in America has the false notion that she is dating a Black man. Black men are a sexual and romantic fetish. A fantasy that is fulfilled in some respect for whites attracted to contrast.
The problem arises when a black man speaks of his struggle to his partner. She often becomes abrasive and closed off. She wants nothing to do with it.
The truth about interracial relationships is when a white woman dates a black man she is not dating his race--she is dating his experience.
When it becomes apparent that black men have a harder time finding a job or that over the course of their lives they will earn less than their white counterparts. The reality sets in and they choose to leave the situation. It is not because white women are intentionally racist, it is because their biological instinct finds the lack of stability experienced by many black men as a threat to her own survival.
The white woman breaks up with the black man. She sees the world in eyes of privilege. A world of merit rather than family connections or friends. A world where the only barrier to a black man getting a job is education and training. This is not the experience of a black man. Black men are denied jobs based on race.

I would not care that you drove for uber i would be more worried for your safety then anything. Well that is the problem or a problem you assume that all white women look at black men as a sexual fetish, granted some might look at you that way but others do not. Yes, the vast majority of people will want someone who looks like them that is the way of the world. Then dump her if she doesn't want to listen to what you go through i have to admit that I have never dated a black person but i would never brush off the things that he finds important. Well I don't know if that is true i know a few black women who make more than their white counterparts so, each person is different I guess. I would assume that most all women would leave the man if the man was the reason for the lack of stability and threat to their own survival, you have to look at it form here perspective she is looking to maybe have children with you so you need to be stable and she needs to know that she and the children are safe, so i dont think that would make her racist but just doing her instinctual duty. Can we cut out this privilege bullshit please? It is not real. If you where ever denied a job based on race then that is illegal and you should sue the shit out of them. But i am just a white woman so what do i know right?
Ironically white women who have black children have a drastically higher rate of stillborn and miscarry. I guess biology does rule all.

When we date anyone, we date their whole experience of life - not popular perceptions of them, and not our perception of them. That's why it helps to be sensitive and intuned into who you are getting with.
TBF, in my experience, women don't really want to hear too much about one's problems and struggles as a man in general.
Those things are better discussed with one's male friends, who can a) relate, and b) aren't subconsciously evaluating your aptitude as a provider, a partner, a father.
I think you are generalizing a bit far. The black men I've known have pretty good jobs. One is nearing 80 and has an excellent retirement package from IBM. He is married to a white woman (they both were married and had kids with other people before getting together). My friend from college is a CEO.

This is a really interesting perspective and although I am neither black nor white, it does tally with other things I've heard about black people's experiences and how invisible it is to many white people.
I really don't understand this post. If you are running into a reoccurring problem of dating unreliable white women then why are you still so dead set on being with one?
Perhaps it isn't a racial issue, perhaps it3s a cultural predisposition for them to be flighty and turn to run at the first hint of adversity. There are a LOT of other options out there my friend. It may be best for you to begin exploring those because clearly your way isn't working.
I agree with the post and your response it’s been a recurring theme that people have just been going for the wrong people and then generalizing everyone. Race , gender it’s getting quite annoying I think he puts some good points tho to help people be open minded however

Honestly why are so many people thinking that racism is on such a wide area, depending on the state the chances of getting a job may be slim to greatly increase. So it depends on where you live with you get a good job or not regardless of race. 2nd most women regardless of skin color want a husband who can take care of himself. Most people dont want a dead beat as a husband/wife so in short nothing to do with skin color and more to do with morals and money. 3rd if a black man wanted to, he could work harder at getting a education himself instead of blaming racism and other people for his problems. Go to a library, seek advice from other people, make friends, go online. Stop making the excuse that you are broke become of my race. You can get a job online, work at McDonald's or any other fast food restaurant, go into sports, become a mechanic. There are hundreds of jobs out there that many people of all races can get if your willing to work and find a way out of it.
There are a lot of educated blacks people that still get the shit end of those jobs. I lived in a suburb area up north and the racism is still terrible. Racism is everywhere. I worked in a corporate job where I worked harder than my two white friends they were still able to go up and I still was stuck at the bottom of the barrel. I would work overtime more then them and I had a better attitude when it came to customers. It’s just harder to see the underlying racism ended up leaving and they were asking me to come back but I wouldn’t go back to place that I was undermined in
