I'll copy this from wiki so I wouldn't pretend to know it at this detail:
"Female copulatory vocalizations (FCV) or female copulation calls are produced by some female primates, including human females, when they vocalize in specific ways during sexual intercourse and related sexual activity to express sexual pleasure and to excite their sexual partners, and potential sexual partners. While males vocalize sexually as well, females typically do so much more frequently.[1] Among women, FCV may take verbal and non-verbal forms including breathing heavily, moaning, crying out, screaming, talking dirty, crying, and laughing." -wikipedia
So all in all it's way common for women. Some men (including me) can be really silent during sex. Since it doesn't come naturally for me, making sounds would forced and fake. I guess you could learn to be more vocal so maybe you could teach him. For the reasons to be quiet, well I have an older brother and I started masturbating quite young, so one learns to do it quietly under the blanket.
"Any way to get him to start making some noise?"
Talk to him and expect answers during sex. Break the silence and force him to respond. It would help if you were dominant. But even if you aren't one by nature, you could take the role just to get him relaxed to speak, other sounds should come easier after that.
"He doesn't even tell me when he's cumming"
Not everyone do that. Men or women. Once again you could train him to be vocal.
Have you talked to him? Have you told you would like to be more vocal. Try not to blame him, just tell him that you would like him to make sounds like a horny monkey and ease him into talking during sex and there might be the day you wish he would stfu and just bang you ;D0 0 0 0Well for one... Most of us learn to masturbate in secret and so I believe it carries over. Either that or, well, when you ladies have it good, you have it waayyyy better than we can even imagine.

My friends with benefits barely makes any noise either. Honestly I don't even know he's about to cum half the time until he stops and pulls me off of him. I am not a fan at all, but he's not really a demonstrative guy and is pretty old fashioned, so I just deal with it because I like him. It makes me sad though because I love hearing a guy moan. It kind of bothers me... I moan sometimes and I crave really primal sound from my man but the last few guys I've seen have been silent as the grave and it really makes me uncomfortable when I'm up top begging and screaming (at least with my last ex) and the guy just does nothing and I can barely even hear him breathing.
Then on the other hand, I was with this one guy who literally made so much noise during sex and right before he came that I thought we were going to have the cops called on us. It was so hot, and it just made me ride him even harder. I loved that he was comfortable enough with me to be so vocal and primal. I really hope I see him again, he was literally perfect.2 0 0 0It really makes me uncomfortable when I man doesn't moan or make any type of sound during sex. And especially when he doesn't tell me he's about to cum. I want someone who shows me that he's having a good time and feels pleasure.
You can be honest and tell him that you'd enjoy if he'd make a sound hear and there. Once i spoke to my ex about it (he had the same problem) he began to try and after that it came naturally. Don't be afraid to tell him, if you're close enough to be having sex with this guy he'll understand lol1 1 0 0if he enjoys sound comes automatically.
I've spoken to him and he keeps saying he will make noise then he doesn't...
I think you should do the same and make no noise whatsoever or facial expressions. No matter how awkward and uncomfortable it is for you. Maybe that way he'll see how weird it actually is lol
I understand your feelings as I experienced this kind of super silent boys twice in my short life.
With one of them I was able to let him exteriorise by asking (or pursuing?) to let himself go. But the other remained silent.
I'm sure both boys enjoyed as we had intimate contacts. At least they said they feel happy after the sex and looked fully relaxed.0 0 0 0

13 28some guys are like that, they dont like to moan or make noises... which is quite boring in my opinion. Expression is quite important.
1 1 0 0if he is skillful, he would be more natural and sounds and expression comes out automatically.
The first 1000 orgasms that a guy has don't involve a live girl.
Guys learn to suppress sound in order to not be caught masturbating. Your guy has taught himself to be stealthy when having an orgasm. Unfortunately, that skill is useless with you.
He will have to put effort in to unlearn that behavior. The answer is that simple.5 7 0 0I could have written this myself!
@dreamspear Thanks for the vote of confidence.
oh, this makes sense.
Men tend to suppress emotions that make them vulnerable.
Moaning actually suggests that you have control over him, and he has surrendered his agency to your vagina. Or mouth. Or soles. Or strap-on. Or poo. Whatever works for him.
I'm afraid to moan, might sound like a beotch.1 0 0 0You're afraid to moan? Is there anyway you would? I've tried asking him and he always say he will or even tell me he's cumming and he doesn't... He doesn't make any noise or say anything...
You need to finger his anus.
Lol ya that'd get some noise out of him! Haha
i LOVE men who moan during sex. i need it. its a require ment like men have to act sos macho all the time. if it feels good, i wanna know... moaning is hot. i moan.
1 0 0 0Um.
Maybe it's the feeling is not the same with guys. Most guys don't moan, but love hearing you.
Yeah.
:\2 2 0 0Okay fine I'll moan babe
It could just be he doesn't make noise (my ex didn't like the fact that I did not make noise either) so I would recommend just mentioning it to him, I highly doubt its because he doesn't enjoy sex. It could be he is just so focused or he doesn't realize that its a turn on for you etc etc. So just talk to him about it and once he knows he can try and change try and be a little more vocal.
1 0 0 0LOOOLLL I'm sorry this written so well 😂 😂 😂
0 0 0 0Some guys are just quiet. I don't like it
1 0 0 0That is not anything freaky or anything. Does he have kids? I can't count the amount of times I had to have noiseless sex. or did he have a lot of roommates?
0 0 0 0I don't like it either... quite a turn off...
2 0 0 0It's like hey you alive back there... I almost feel like with or without him I could get the job done lol
I don't even know when he finished. it was weird
don't women feel the semen going into them? I would think it was really obvious when a guy finishes.
It's just his way of having sex, he just doesn't moan. It not common, but perfectly possible.
0 0 0 0I'm more than sure he's enjoying himself... he's just not letting go and holding it in
1 0 0 0Some guys are quiet, some women are to by the way. Doesn't mean he's not enjoying it. Just ask him if he's enjoying it. He's just the silent type.
1 1 0 0Maybe he's concentrating?
0 0 0 0Some of us just quieter than others. We still love it though.
0 0 0 0Sometimes us guys feel embarrassed by our sounds or perhaps he just doesn't make sounds. Ask him if he has before or if he's been holding them back.
0 0 0 0Does his breathing get rougher?
2 1 0 0I can breather rougher and fuck even rougher when i feel the real pleasure.
