I say leave the happy trail. But if you shave below the belt, it looks silly to keep one and not the other. If you're going to shave one, you might as well shave both. On the other hand, if you keep the happy trail [which I personally prefer], then the rest should be tidied and trimmed at most. Just keep it neat, and toss the razor. =]
