Why are there only two options--loyal/virgin or random whore who might cheat and he's just using for sex? I hope you don't think that just because a girl isn't a virgin it means that she isn't loyal and committed, or that being sexually active makes a girl a whore.
Every guy feels differently about this. Some guys like the idea of being with a girl who is a virgin, possibly because 1) they get to be her first; and 2) there aren't previous sexual partners to be jealous of if they're insecure. Some prefer a girl with some experience because they see her as more confident, possibly more open minded to trying things, and a more experienced lover.

A lot of younger guys want virgins because they can't handle the thought of another guy doing the things with their girl that they do. Guys usually outgrow this as they mature. Some still don't want to hear about it, but they can at least handle knowing that you were sexually experienced before them.
Personally I can understand these feelings more with a guy who is also unexperienced. The guys who have done all sorts of things to all sorts of girls and still can't handle an experienced girl are just ridiculous.

That's the girl they can see themselves in a serious relationship with. But you have to be careful, cause some guys, not all, but some, will cheat because they still want sex. It's a very delicate situation and be careful.
1. Not all guys are jerks, just looking for an "easy target" to have sex with. 2. Not all guys are into virgins, some prefer a girl who has more sexual experience. 3. Most guys "see themselves in a serious relationship with" a girl because THEY LIKE HER, not because of the number of sexual partners she's had or not had.
Honestly I would prefer a virgin because I am one myself, and both probably have to do with a lack of confidence.
