How do you know if you lost a tampon inside yourself?

I know this sounds incredibly stupid but I swear i put a tampon in but I can’t find it. Like it’s not there. I’ve never done this in my 29 years of life so I have no clue how to tell. When I put my fingers down there, I had period blood on my fingers. My underwear was wet but it’s also black so I don’t know if it was sweat from my being in the car with the heat on or if it was blood.

I went to the doctors and they saw up to my cervix and didn't see anything. Is it possible for it to be in my cervix?

  • No, tampons cannot accidentally slip into your cervix.

Your cervix is controlled by some of the strongest muscles in the human body to keep it closed closed closed so germs do not get into the sterile uterus.

For anything to breach your cervix, especially the size of a tampon, would require dilation which usually needs a chemical process like the process that happens at the start of going into labor.

Even for your period, it opens only the tiniest bit.

If you can feel all they way inside your vagina until you reach the cervix and there's not tampon there, you just forgot to put it in.

    • I got a downvote?

    • From a guy. They don't know anything about tampons anyway lol, ignore him

    • I just thought it was funny.

  • I wrote a question about this days ago but I met my question limit so couldn't post. You will know sweety, it can't go far. I left one inside me for a day before and I was shocked when I felt it masturbating. It could make you sick so try not to forget it.
Just lay on your back, open legs and reach in with your fingers, I know it's hard to get it out but a girl showed me a trick, push like you're giving birth and reach in with your finger tips, grab with your nails and pull when you catch a part of it.

  • You go to the bathroom and basically dig your hands up there lol. I've put in 2 tampons before it was a nightmare.

  • You should ask for an xray. If it is inside of you, you could get toxic shock or a bad infection.

  • Go to the doctors... I don't know! But i like the moon cup more than tampons. Tampons can cause toxic shock syndrome

  • All you can do is put your fingers in as far as you can and see if you can feel it. Also maybe check the trash and see if you can't count how many are there?

If you're that worried go to a doc.

    • Prolly not.

  • Your cervix is closed unless you’re dilated. Maybe you took it out or it fell out.

  • This happened to me once but I didn't find it until I had a mild infection. You just got to position yourself and get as deep as you possibly can to find it.

    • No, it can't be in your cervix because that would have to dilate to let it in, like having contractions. You're good.

  • Maybe you forgot that you took it out.
Look inside your trash can instead of your cervix

  • You should go to the doctor. It’s not safe.
