Saw a suspicious scab on my boyfriend?

My boyfriend and I have been hanging out from Wednesday to Sunday. We were about to get intimate on Saturday morning until' I noticed a scab. You can pretty much guess where I saw it. (And I don't want to be too direct about it, because I think my last question of the same concern was deleted for that reason. Plus, I feel quite shy talking about this!) So I was clubbing the night before I saw it and was only out for a few hours. My boyfriend even brought me there and picked me up so I could hang out with my friends. He didn't want to go because he has been going out a lot with the boys, and felt silly because I never really had time to go out with my friends. He told me he would hang out at a friend's place and watch movies with the guys. Right before dropping me off, he was telling me that he trusted me and made it clear that he didn't want to get hurt (as we have both been in bad relationships prior to "us"). I told him not to worry, and that I love him. I didn't hear from him for an hour and a half after setting foot in the club, in belief that he didn't want to disturb me. The first thing he said when I finally heard from him was "I love you" and "Party like a rock star!" and.. Well the 'text' conversation was constant after that. We became intimate when we got home, and I'm not sure whether him reaching climax can give me assurance that he was faithful (but he did if that helps). A few hours later when we woke up, we were about to get to it again - and that's when I felt the unfamiliar bump, which was the size of an ant. I hesitantly asked him whether he had been doing anything outside our relationship - which was quite forward because after explaining that he didn't, and asking me why I would think it'd be so easy for him to, he got up and left. I really offended him. :( He texted me before I could apologize though. I still did, and he came back in the evening. We spent an extra day together before he went back to the city. Now, I was definitely wrong in being too forward, and will not do that next time I see something suspicious on him. However I'm still wondering why he would have something like that. On that location.. When I do not recall giving it to him.. While we've been hanging out for three days prior to my discovery of the little oddity. Because I know it wasn't there on Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. If you STILL don't know where the scab is, then please hit the back button now. -_-

  • You both should go get tested just because. If he gets all offended because you suggest this, he needs to either get his ego under control or he's guilty of something. It's always a good thing to play it safe and get tested. If he has nothing to worry about, he shouldn't get all butthurt. If he's THAT insecure, he needs to get a grip and be a man about it. :/

    As for the scab, it could be nothing, for all you know. But I completely get why you're worried and if he sees what it is, he should get why you'd wonder/worry too.

    • That will be a sure-fire way to find out - I also don't want to be stuck with an STI. I just find it a little troublesome to do because of the stupid way I handled myself when I saw it. >.> Any advice on how I can do so?

    • Just bring it up, apologize for reacting like you did, but you would like to get the both of you tested anyway. Even if he gets all up in arms, you guys should just do it if you've been with others in the past. I make it a point to get myself tested anytime I'm with someone, regardless of who they are.

  • It's either what I call a rug burn...which happens during sex when you thrust it in before it's quite wet enough, or it's healing after an inflammation of genital herpes. If that same scab appears sometime in the future in the exact same spot, it's herpes.

  • You know a scab can happen from anything right...? It's the process of healing...?

    Just because it's there doesn't mean he did anything with anyone. Does he shave? If so, problem solved. He cut himself. Don't be so insecure. ;)

    • The cut is right near the head, so I doubt it is from shaving. Unless he was really stoned when he did it lol.

    simple answer to avoid all susspicion and future trust issues...

    go to planned parenthood and have both of you get tested...that way it won't be as threatening when your like "you need to get tested"...
