  That's alright, at least he knows where you stand. It's never comfortable to talk about your deeper feelings with someone you have them for. It's such a "leap of faith" or putting yourself in such a vulnerable state. But how are you going to get love without being vulnerable to it? You have to fully open yourself to something (or someone) in order to fully embrace it and take it in. If you just have the door half open all the time, no one knows if they are allowed in or not.
