Sexual Health Are women considered "washed up" after 30?

I hear a lot of men, specifically men in their early 30s saying that once a women is 30-35 then she's damaged goods or she's "washed up", it isn't fair actually, because a man is actually considered more desirable in his 30s. Younger men seek after older women for sexual reasons, yet men who are in their early 30s find the nearest 24 year old to marry and procreate with. I'm 23, and I dated a 33 year old who was ready to settle, he had a house and a career but his motif was to find a women who was as young as possible to give him "healthy" children. To me, that's an excuse. A women at 35 is just as capable as a woman at 25 to bear healthy children. He also preferred younger women because he claimed that they had less baggage. I had to let this man go. Great guy, but I'm just a 23 year old who's getting her feet wet and starting a career. Why do some men feel like a woman suddenly loses her value once she's a certain age? Why is it ok for a younger woman to be with an older guy but never vice versa? Do you feel that once you hit the age to settle, you'll suddenly seek 20-somethings instead of women your own age? If so, why?

I actually dread getting older because I feel like I'll suddenly be less desirable because of my age. Something that I have absolutely no control of.

Well who would want some 18 year old? What does she have to offer a man of a certain age accept for a tight hole between her legs and a high school education. Men CAN get an 18 year old but it doesn't mean that they should. by the way, I actually prefer men my own age. Out of curiosity I dated an older guy because of all of the hype and found that older men are disgusting and pathetic who chase younger women.

Not exactly "washed up", I was trying to come up to a reason behind why we think like that in an avoiding way. I'd guess after 30 it's implied no one was good enough for her in an earlier age, so we rather avoid them.

I know for myself (41) I prefer I woman in Mid 20''s to late 20's. I know women in their 30's to 40's some have trouble having a child or children. Women in their 20's don't seem to have an issue.
But most women nowadays don't want to have children in their 20s. It's actually becoming the norm to have them later in life and people are seeing advantages to it. I know that nothing is coming out of me until I'm at LEAST 30

Women created this. I am attracted to women older than me due to a general maturity factor and there are PLENTY of women who discount guys on age alone refusing to get together with a younger guy.
Women in their 20's are at their peak physical beauty according to most of society. So naturally older guys have a tendency to go for the younger women. The same doesn't apply to men. Guys that are older are more respected due to being more established in their careers and more financially distinguished. Also the physical aspect isn't as settled with guys. From what I can gather, physical attraction with guys focuses a lot on masculine body features that can be maintained well into their 40's without a ton of change. A guy might still LOOK older, but age doesn't really factor into attraction as much for guys. With women, they also LOOK older, but age does factor into attraction. Might suck for women, but that's just a result of differing interests/attraction physically between the sexes.

Honestly, pretty much. I would say more 35 than 30, but she's already beginning to push it by that time.
It's annoying, because you can feel the desperation too, them knowing they've got a limited time to tie a guy down, especially if she remained inexperienced. They start behaving nicer, start being more attentive, and you know that it's because she knows someone younger and more attractive is nipping at her heels.
Kind of funny in a way. They were awful to a lot of guys when they were more attractive, but when the tables turn, they are suddenly so sweet. Go figure, huh? Easy to see through. Why should I want someone like that? I'll find a younger woman who isn't hypocritical and tainted instead.

No, I didn't--you assumed that, or rather, want that to be the case so you can lash out at what obviously hits close to home about your insecurities.. There are plenty of great girls out there. I said I'd look for a younger girl of strong character, in essence (since they are out there to be found). And she'll stay attractive far longer too. Win win. Not true. It's scientifically proven that a woman past 30 has a lower chances of bearing children due to a low egg count and fertility rate also, the older the woman the more you notice a higher chance in children being born with autism.
Most women deem younger guys undateable based on maturity level and unwillingness to settle down so the moment guys show a preference towards younger aged women we're the bad ones?
Oh here we go... with modern technology, women in their 40s-50s are bearing healthy babies. Most of the children in the autism population have mothers who were under 35, I think around 80%. Cougars LOVE younger men and not all women seek older men. I had a moment, I was curious and realized that I prefer men my own age. I don't even see the hype with older men.
by the way, I've met some mature 20 year olds who were Ivy League and I'd take them over a 30 year old anyday. Most guys choose to be immature in their 20s.

Give me a source that proves that most autistic children were born to mothers under 30-35 and I'll believe you until then I can give you multiple sources which prove my point. Just ask if you need it. You decided to want men your age when you thought they were "mature" enough for you not because you were done having a "moment". I know there are plenty of mature youthful guys, age is not a factor for maturity simply a misconception. My point was that women constantly look for older guys and men look for younger women. Each have their own preferences and set back. What's not to get about that?

the age of the woman first pregnancy to term is what matters most. but even that doesn't mean having a first child after 30 will be less healthy. also, plenty of studies have shown children born to older men have a higher chance of ending up with degenerative illnesses later on..

It's an extremely minor role, most genes are passed along the X chromosome which is why it's easily linked to the mother. Which is why most research say father's age "may" have something to do with disease, correlation is not the same as causation.
Well I know for a fact that the mother has a way of correcting the fathers DNA but it's refeshing to know that the dads age plays a role. I cringe at 60 year old first time fathers.

Probably. I didn't care about age until he started making it a factor. It 1.) creeped me out. 2) made me have a deep hatred for older men who seek younger women. It was a learning experience for me.
