Guys would you ever ask this of a woman after suffering a traumatic event? and girls have you ever had a guy ask if you want sex after a trauma event?

Guys would you ever ask this of a woman after suffering a traumatic event? and girls have you ever had a guy ask if you want sex after a trauma event?

Some context: this was posted on X (twitter) over the 'man or bear' discourse. Makes me wonder just how often this happens to women out there?

I'm a girl and yes guys have asked me this after a traumatic or serious event

  • It wasn’t exactly a death in the family, but a friend of mine in high school got in a car accident (she’s fine now) But my boyfriend at the time asked me “sooooo, we sill on for tonight?” I respectfully requested that perform that service on himself. Then I made sure he understood that I was breaking up with him! Some guys ¯\_(ッ)_/¯
Although thankfully (thanks to the poll) we know that most of the guys on here would never do that!

    • @cute_miss_laura how someone could even think about their needs like that in that situation is crazy. You definitely did the right thing, compassion and support are really important.

    • @RebelinSteel Well yeah, they are important to me! When all I can think about is the health of my friend, I really don’t wanna hear some guy is horny! Thanks for the feedback.

    • @cute_miss_laura no problem, having someone be there for you at times like that is what makes a relationship, you often see the other person in a different light.

Most Helpful Guys

  • That’s fucked up, the idea is to be there for her emotional support not your sexual needs.
That is definitely a case of a girl dumping a guy if he’s insensitive and too focused on his own needs.

  • Sex should be the last thing that is discussed. The guy should be more into comforting her than trying to get sex

  • No I've never run into any situation like this.

  • Yes, I’ve come across guys like this.. and even worse, I’ve come across guys who sexualise your trauma. Sickening.

  • Fortunately I've never had a guy asking me this after a traumatic event. It's an awful question and it shows selfishness and disrespect.

  • He’s thinking with his head. Not the right head but thinking regardless.

  • After I went through something I shut myself away from the world. Sex would be one of the last things on my mind.

  • I would never do as this guy did.

  • That's some pretty weird shit. BJs help the grief? New on me but 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • Wow. Some people just don't get it. That's horrible. That's as selfish and selfish gets.

  • I wouldn’t do exactly what this guy did, but there are jokes about crying around me leading to sex.
