It’s all about age of consent. Many states are 16-18. If he’s under age of consent or if you had authority it’s more than a real possibility. Get a lawyer if you did this and discuss your options. Even if he consented and was underage, if when his parents find out you could have issues.

I know everyone is saying it depends on where you live and that's true but generally speaking if the parents press charges you're in trouble otherwise no one will care so much.

The biggest issue is that the asker left out the detail of state or country for that matter. Meaning we are just guessing on this. I have a 17 consent state and even I was told in high school that you could get statutory if you were 18 and they were 17. Which is true because of the position of authority rule. Rule of thumb is if you are 18+ you should probably stick to people who are 18+. You can still get statutory rape charges, in my state at least (Illinois), if you are 18 and they are 17.
