I’m asking this because I’ve been attracted to most of my male friends except maybe one or two a long time ago, plus my ex seemed to like one of his friends before she turned him down.
If one of them or both of them find each other unattractive, then it's possible. But in case of a guy where he finds his friend sexually attractive, it becomes really difficult to stay friends only because he will always want to be more frank, will try to somehow start sex related discussions if not sexting. So if the girl resists, the relationship most likely end with fights or both will talk rarely to each other and hence it will become just so-called friendship.
