The girl who took my virginity died last year after a prolonged battle with kidney failure. I had not spoken to her in several years but knew about her life from a distance. I thought that her death might make me sad but, after the passage of 50 years, I felt nothing. Yes we were each other's first in our HS years; the first man I've ever loved. I believe we would've been married by now and had kids. We used to talk about the future and having kids after finishing college. From time to time, I still have survivor's guilt. I'm alive because of him but he's dead.
He managed to push me out of the way of a crazy drunk drive, taking all the fully impact. It cost him his life. He was barely alive for a couple minutes, telling me ''I love you'' and then he was gone. He was just 19 years old, my same exact age.
It's really sad. I'm alive, married with a daughter and writing here and he's dead. He was his parents' youngest child and only son, their other children were girls (3 girls and 1 boy). It was very hard bringing the news to them, that their only single baby boy died.

yeah even though I'm married and with a daughter, I still missed him. He would've been 38 by now. It's hard to even think that 19 years have passed.

Yes, I have an ex that committed suicide on 9/11/2017. When I found out about it, it broke my heart. I wanted to marry that guy but he wasn't rdy to be married and we parted ways. That was in the 90's and even though I hadn't seen him in a long time and now he's deceased, I still love and miss him.

When I was 15 I ended up on the street. I met and fell for a girl when I was 16 and she was 14, she was running away from a series of abusive foster parents. We started living together in an abandoned shelter for 3 of some of the best years of my life. Anyway I got arrested and while I was in county lock up for the weekend and while I was locked up she disappeared, nobody had a clue and police refused to help, I searched the city day and night. A few days later she was found naked in the dirty river by a jogger. She had been brutally beaten, tortured, tied up, probably raped and strangled to death. They never got her killer but there was a guy a few years back that cops say may have done it.
I joined the marine Corp a month later and never went back.
What a horrible tragedy!
