@SoftCliff Most people are sized using the +4 method - an incorrect measuring method that tells you to add 4/5 inches to your underbust measurement to get your band size. This is the case with many celebrity 'sizes' that you get on Google. If you reverse the +4 method from 32B, you get 28DD, which is the sister size of 30D, the size I guessed for her.

In the nineteen years that I've been wearing a bra, and please remember that for some ten of those years I was having my bras custom made, not once was the + 4 method ever used, in fact the lingerie specialists couldn't even remember the last time they had used it.

I'm glad noone ever fitted you using this method but it is clearly still very prevalent. I was incorrectly sized in 3 different stores using this method. Maybe it's more common when you are a smaller band size (because they aren't sold so people add inches to put you in a size that's sold more frequently) but either way, it definitely is still in use - unfortunately.
