  • Treated unfairly.

Let's see in the Americas prostitution is criminalized. This means if a woman is abused - as often happens - by her pimp or her john if she goes to the cops & admits the real why (she's a prostitute) then there's a likeness she won't just get charged but the police will view it as an oh she's *that* sort, she "asked" for it & do nothing about the abuser.

Then there's the fact most prostitutes begin young. Either runaway taken advantage of, kidnapped even, or addicts who need a means of fueling their addiction. They don't have much say.

If they are foreigners depending on the country of origin / the pimp's they're sex traffic victims. In the UK certain groups are well known to bring in women from these areas who are part of sex traffic rings. People who think these girls & women in these sex rings have a say in being a prostitute are brain-damaged idiots. Depending on the group in charge any who think of leaving are flat out killed because they've no value.

  • Yes. It's an industry just like anything else. People getting paid for services. It's work plain and simple. They shouldn't be treated any differently for what they choose to do.

But society is poison. Judge judge judge.

I for one appreciate it. Visual stimulation is way better than my imagination these days. Especially since sex ain't happening for this girl.

Just a bit earlier today my sister and brother in law busted out their oculous vr thing so I could experience being a guy during sex🤣 It was sooo weird and I felt like I was having a bit of an identity crisis. But definitely interesting. Without porn stars that wouldn't be possible🤷‍♀️

    • i agree completely. and that game sounds a bit fun ;)

    • Not going to lie, it's a game changer lol. But seriously the weirdest thing being a guy in that situation when you're a girl😂

    • @crazyish now that sounds fun, the oculus but. Sorry about the other bit

  • No they are not supported enough (morally etc) yet another area of society that is often abused by the perfect in society.

it’s a huge area from adult entertainment stars, to college, university girls paying their way through education.

it also includes yes those hooked on drugs doing it to fund their habit, a hugely vicious cycle.

I have friends in the sector and dated ish a girl that worked in a club and is still a good friend, although now she’s a surgeon.

people are really shit when they here what someone’s job is, hugely judgmental and it’s this where fairness comes in to it.

I hate shaming full stop across the board, in variably those doing the shaming supposedly have this code to treat everyone fairly etc.

  • hell yeah!

a few summers ago here in my state the cops raid a brothel in the middle of the hood and that shit was madness. I remember one of the cops grab one of the prostitutes by her hair and toss her down the stairs of the house's porch. I always asked myself what do prostitutes do to deserve such a thing and why dont they treat drug dealers the same way?

oh well, I can't say the same about porn actresses. those bimbos get treated like celebrities even though they are no different or probably worst than real prostitutes.

  • I think they are treated fairly. There’s pros and cons to every job and you can’t expect people to bow down to you just because you are a sex worker. I used to work at a strip club as a bartender and men even degrade you while doing the job. Sex work is not made for everybody. You need thick skin to make it through that industry. I feel like too many sensitives have gotten a hold of sex work since Onlyfans have came out.

    • To your point : you can’t EXPECT people to treat you fairly. I simply quit working at strip clubs because the guy I wanted did not accept me working at a strip club. I’ll love that guy to death before I think working my life at a strip club is worth it. I do also have that job on my resume so if some job doesn’t accept it, onto the next.

  • Well I do not think of sex work as work but I don’t believe they should be beaten up for what they do.

  • I think unless they were drugged and forced to join the industry, then they chose to be there.

    • right but even if they choose to be there do you think they deserve the treatment they get for that choice?

    • Probably. If they werent forced then they can always quit to avoid that treatment

    • even if they quit it may not be possible to avoid it, but doesn't mean they deserve it though. just because its reality doesn't mean it "should" be like that

  • I think sex work should be legalised because at least then there’ll be some form of legal protection and rights for the workers

  • I do think they a bad rap. Unfortunately. I don’t like to judge. As long as they are there because they want to be and are happy.

    • ROFL. Want to be & are happy. Few want to be & less are happy.

    • Fair enough. There are some ladies on here who enjoy it and I support them.

    • I agree that most actual prostitutes are doing so because they lack better options or were abused, are drug addicts, etc. But I think many of the young women who have an only fans or simillar site do so because it is exciting or affirming in some way.

  • There's a difference between a prostitute and a call girl then you have the sex trade which is wrong so the first two I don't see a problem with but the last one yes ✌️

  • Yes I think they are, especially women. Sometimes they have no other option, they might have been victims of sex traffic. Or they might have been forced to have sex with strangers just so they could have food on their table and a roof over their head.
I wouldn't be a sex worker, but it's not my place to judge them.

  • No. These chicks get paid to sleep with people, often earn six figures a year, and most of them don't even pay taxes. I support most sex work (OnlyFans and other lazy "sit on my ass all day doing nothing" bullsh*t doesn't count), but they are NOT treated unfairly! Most men would kill to be able to do what they do.

  • Yes I absolutely do think they are treated unfairly. Nothing should be wrong with sex workers as long as it’s between two consenting adults. A lot of the time woman and men who are sex workers can't go to the police if something happens just because their job is illegal.

  • Yes I think they are treated unfairly, and yes I think they should be treated better. No one should be treated horribly, that includes sex workers.

  • I don't think they are treated unfairly here and girls in this profession never have been socially ostracized and excluded. Few of them end up as fertilizer in the woods because they hear too much, but this is a job risk. Their problems is cheap competition from Ukraine, their toxic sidekicks and addictions which are tempting in their work environment.

    • i don't know how it works in poland but in amarica its a terrible experience for them

    • Yeah, generally in US is violent criminality very high compared with other developed countries

    • not just america but even britain and france as well. worldpopulationreview.com/.../crime-rate-by-country

  • Yes actually. For example, in many states, underage girls who are sex trafficked are still charged with prostitution and are prosecuted as co-defendants with the people who trafficked them.

  • People who say they don't support sex workers but then they watch porn 🤡

    • Personally, sex work comes with people not supporting you, but I think it’s a waste of time trying to convince people that don’t support it to support it. Idc. There’s men that don’t support it that still walk into strip clubs. Idc if you don’t support it, just give me your money 😭

    • i know i watched a few documentaries of some former porn stars that say how difficult it was to find other jobs or have people see them as normal people even.

  • It doesn't make sense that paying for companionship (sexual or otherwise) between consenting adults would be illegal. That's what marriage is. And dating.

    • Actually, great point lol ❤👍

    • Amsterdam's Amsterdam lol

  • Simply yes. There should be no interference if someone wants to pay for a sexual service and then a person chooses to take that pay. It's no more of a big deal than paying someone to wash your house.

  • I couldn't give a crap about sex workers.

  • Notice the dumb ones think sex should be criminalized for their safety, when in fact it does the opposite. Decriminalizing sex work will make it safer all around.

    • Oh yeah the ignorance here is astounding

  • Yes they are treated unfairly. They shouldn’t be. People are happy to go to a sex worker to get what they want, but in the next breath they demean them, shame them and sometimes rape and kill them.

  • I think sex work whether is performance dancing or whether it is sex for money should be decriminalized regulated licensed and taxed.

  • I want to say something in THIS. Modern sex worker are mostly just slaves whether or not you want to agree it.

They are treated like slaves in the industry.
