Do you think she’s using her period as an excuse to not have sex?

So I’m in a new relationship and last night she had wanted to have sex but as this is my first relationship I was not prepared and didn’t bring a condom so we just fooled around instead.
We agreed we would do it this week whenever my family was not home again then today she texts me saying she randomly got her period and we would have to wait a week. I think it’s a bit odd cause last month she got her period towards the end and I thought it follows a cycle

  • She said wait a week. That's okay.

Periods are super easy to debunk. It's a real excuse but you don't have to worry about if she lying thankfully on this one. You ask when did it start and write it down for yourself the date. You keep track of when her period starts. She can have variable periods but you'll know it's an excuse or the truth in a few months of tracking it. Women can't lie in due time on this one. But you need record of a few months. Few months= few periods. Variable by 3-5 weeks. Maybe 2.5. stay assured and patient. She won't win lying even once about it after few records of it. But you don't ever bring it up. If you upset she lied. You need be ready to break it off and don't explain why. Liers don't get information for reason of breakups. Most likely she saying truth. Keep record and it's good. Builds trust, she wins long term when you realize she says truth over time. She loses by inconsistency. 5 months = 4-6 periods. No lesser no more. Etc. 12 months = 11-13 periods. Longer it goes, less variable it is. Still just off a few.

    • Just read below. Yeah if it's 3 weeks. Go by that. Should be consistent across 12 months of records. Be careful of pill. Then you still track, but have fresh results new time lapse etc. Women do lie on this but it's important that you make sure you don't pressure sex. That's her choice. Pressuring her encourages lying. So don't do that. If in many months you feel unsatisfied, you choose to leave her , period.

  • It only follows a precise cycle if she is on the pill. Her period can vary a LOT. She is probably being honest. Its important that you not treat her as suspect. You can follow her cycles and see if they are too close together. Usually they don't flush their products so if she is at your place for long you can look for it in the waste basket, but some will hide them.

Long story short... give her the benefit of the doubt unless this comes up too frequently. I'm sure you are in a hurry to get in there, and she probably is too. Don't let your eagerness turn things sour. You can also let her know sex on her period is ok. Two of my recent partners get VERY Horney on their periods. They've also asked me to have sex with them because it helps a lot with cramps.

    • Yes I understand now

  • It’s not weird. Not all cycles are to an exact day, they can come a week before or week after the last cycle. I don’t think she’s using it as an excuse.

    • Nah I see that now she says she usually has a it every 3 weeks so if I count backwards her last one was around 3 weeks ago

  • I agree with most here who wrote period could be irregular.

Another point is many girls don't want sex during period. But ironically, if a period is heavy and painful, bare sex may help ease the pain.

Hence if you want to try period sex, perhaps do some research and print out the article and share with her. She may then ask for your "help" during painful periods 😜

  • Maybe I've done it lol.

  • They can be very irregular , as I have been finding out , have a 14 year old daughter , and she has had a nightmare with the nasty Aunt Flo.

  • 50/50 shot.

  • It typically does. Also you can still have sex during your period

  • Maybe but that’s her prerogative.
