I remember back in high school, one of my friends masturbated and she was still a virgin. When people found out, everyone called her a desperate whore. Which didn't make sense, considering she was a virgin. She would cry because everyone called her a slut. This is a perfect, and sad, example of how kid really do pick up evils in their value system from the adults in society. So many adults preach nonsense like that masturbation is 'wrong', and kids absorb that and blindly direct that same hatred, as adults have effectively conveyed the same broken value system.
Yea, where I'm from is a predominantly Catholic mixed with Machista/Latino culture. So female sexuality is frowned upon. It seemed that the word slut was just being thrown around for any time a girl did something "negative" or "undesirable and not exclusive to referring to promiscuous women.

I believe masturbation is a normal thing by both sexes. No negative thoughts then about girls who masturbate. And being a virgin does not change my opinion, though she may feel the need for masturbation more than a gal that is sexually active.
