i started having sex right before i turned 15, i'm almost 21 now and have slept with 10 people. it seems like a lot but i was exclusively with every single one of them (sometimes decided to date them and sometimes it turned out we didn't get along) & that's also less than 2 a year? is that really a lot for being 21?

Bullshit? Ten at the age of 21 is not a lot! Your number of sex-partners depends a lot on how lucky you are finding the right person. Nobody is a clearvoyant. If you find - after a couple of dates - that he is not a match: drop and try another one. That is what many men do, that is what I do, I suggest you do the same. - Sure, that practise will make for some milage. But "don't ask don't tell" can actually be a good thing!
(Also I would be ok if people lied about that if asked... it is inappropriate to ask you for your number of partners and thus it would be acceptible for you to simply lie.)

10 is too many for me to consider you for a serious relationship. It’s more of a thought of I don’t want “community property” but I see that they have also come out with a study that says promiscuous people get divorced in higher numbers... so my instincts are right.
