As a black guy... sometimes it bugs me when I talk to a pretty black girl and she tells me that she doesn't date black guys and is only interested in white men. When I express my annoyance to other people, they tell me I am overreacting or that "it's just preference"; however, it's more than that. Here's an actual conversation I had today with a black girl I have been trying to talk to. Me: What kind of men are you attracted to? Her: I like a strong goal oriented man. I like white men and I sometimes date other ethnic backgrounds. I don't date black men, though. Me: Oh, so... you don't like me :(? Her: It's not that I don't like black men. I'm just picky and I've never dated a black man in my life. I'm very picky as tho who I speak to when it comes to them. Me: Oh... so... I'm the exception? Her: I have never been exposed to a classy, elegant, intelligent black man. All the one's I see and all the ones that talk to me are ghetto, have kids and work dead end jobs. Me: Hmmm... I am not ghetto. I have 0 kids. I work as a senior project manager for a tech firm. Her: I'm sorry, but I really try to give black men the benefit of the doubt. I'm just not used to being around black people. Unless they are proper and classy like me, i feel out of place around them. This is a real conversation I had with a girl who is black, but prefers white guys. I've said this before... but when black women solely want to date white men, it's because they are ashamed of being black.

I'm not taking this personally and this isn't ONE GIRL... I have heard similar from other blacks (word of mouth) who date white men. This time... I had it all on text.

According to online research pulled from womens preferences on dating site based on who they respond to and who's profiles they try to interact with. Black women still as a whole heavily prefer black men.
Consider yourself luck to have been able to weed out a shallow one very early on.
Stop complaining lol.. More white women reject white guys for black guys than black women reject black guys for white guys... and I don't care.
