I found with my mom that the more I was honest with her when she would bring up sex stuff, the more she had to let go of the idea that it was "evil". She firstly, learned that if she didn't want to know, she shouldn't bring it up, and secondly, that if she was going to continue believing that men who liked having sex out of wedlock, enjoyed looking at lesbian sex, had multiple partners at the same time, or whatever the subject was were evil, then she had to admit to herself that her son was evil. She couldn't do that and had to back off her ideas of absolutes. She had to admit that a person of morals could still indulge in such things.
