How much say should men have over abortion?

Ok so for you guys out there do you think men have the right to dictate what a woman does with her body? What about the father?

Personally for men in general I’d say no. You can disagree with abortion but it’s not your body or decision to make. You have no right to enforce your views onto others.

The father I’d say is a bit different. A deadbeat father no but a caring loving father I think has some say over the new bubba. At least if both parties want the child. This is more on the 22 week mark when possible genetic problems are revealed and such a difficult decision should be made from both parties in my opinion.

  • If he helped make the kid I think he should have a say in whether it is destroyed.

If the 2 disagree I think she should have to carry it to term and he pay her alimony for the 9 months, and then whoever didn't want it is released of any parental duty (and any parental rights) after it's born.

It's not totally fair but that's the best compromise I can think of.

  • No one or organization should have a say. It's your body. If the father is your SO, you may want to have a discussion with him about having kids together and hear him out before making your decision.

  • A potential father certainly can give an opinion. But the decision is ultimately hers. The issue to me isn't her right to choose, it's his...

The moment a man has sex he automatically consents to fatherhood, even if he didn't consent to the sexual act itself... Think about that for a while.

I have uses this thought experiment. Imagine if she wants an abortion and he doesn't. He finds a woman who will carry the baby and finds a doctor who could transfer the fetus in as medically invasive way as the abortion. He gets a court order and forces the fetus transfer. The surrogate mother brings the child to fruition. Should the first mother be liable for child support? Why or why not?

  • It takes two to tango. Don't want to need an abortion? Don't have (unprotected) sex. Simple as that.

    • 1. Birth control isn’t 100% effective, 2. Rape and Incest happen.

    • Rape and incest is the very minority of abortions. Last time I checked it was below 5%. So let's talk about the other 95% instead.

  • The only reason men care about this is cause if they want an abortion is cause they don't want to stay with that girl, if the guy isn't forced into child support then I agree 100%

  • Not much, certainly not the deciding vote anyway. But we also shouldn’t get railroaded into paying for it if she decides to keep it

  • None and the same thing goes for others with vaccines. Nobody has a right to tell any human what to do with their body at all.

  • well i think of it like this. it's not "her body her choice". there's a third party. the child. and the child has no choice, cause it can't choose. but there's always 2 parents that are responsible for it to be there. so why should only one parent get a say? just cause one parent won the genetic lottery and became the woman and the other didn't?

well that at least would sound like the feminist idea of "fairness" XD.

    • so if that wasn't clear from what i think: i think it should be 50:50. and the tie braker should be: in case of disagreement, it should be decided in favor of life of the 3rd person.

  • people are crossing multiple state lines, just to have one, because men made illegal.

  • We don't need to, we have the control over if we want to abort it by shooting our sperm outside of your pussy instead of inside and u can't force us to do inside. Hahahhaahhahahahahaha. We have all the control bitches.

    • I think. if he comes inside that means he is saying yes to giving you a baby. So that's fair. We both have a say. He can say whether he comes inside or not. And then she gets her say after he comes inside to abort or not. Then it's fair cos we both get our say. So guys. If you don't want kids don't but in a bitch

    • Don't nut in a bitch*

  • I have two POV's personal I don't think men should have a say over women's bodies at all, however then vaccine and Covid mandates have changed my mind on the subject a bit. My other thought is if you're asking to bring the father into the picture especially financially then he probably should have some input

  • A man has no say over what a woman does with her body. He DOES have the right to discuss the ramifications of their relationship with each other.

  • My thoughts are --- I'm staying away from abortion questions for a while. I need a break. However, here's a video that I really that expresses how I think:

  • I feel if the father is aware of the pregnancy ther should a conversation had. Because it a very emotional decision as much as one of health. So feel the fathers emotions shouls at least be acknowledged. But ultimately it the woman's body and health.

  • No one should get to decide if a baby is going to be murdered or not. I don't care what their gender is.

    • A foetus isn’t a newborn baby hunny. Learn biology.

    • @Jamie05rhs well said. Inconvenient truth.

    • @StormMistress I didn't say "newborn," honey.

  • I agree with you that it isn't a man's business what a woman wants to do with her body.

Some men might see that as a bit one sided, but if a woman doesn't want to use her body to grow a baby with you, tough titties. I mean, find another woman. And if she does, you better be there to help her raise it.

  • I’m against abortion.

    • Should a woman not have rights to her own body? What if she was raped? Or a victim of incest?

  • An unborn child isn't your body, either. So you don't have a say based on your logic.

  • All I know or care about is this: if a girl I was dating or interested in dating supported abortion in any way, it would be an instant turnoff/dealbreaker.

    • Um why? Do you not want her to have the right to her own body?

    • Should the developing child not have a right to its own body?

    • @DevinAM A foetus isn’t a newborn. Learn biology. Under 12-16 weeks it is scientifically speaking a clump of growing cells with no mind or consciousness. If you think that has more rights than the woman housing it then you have done seriously fucked is morals.
