I've done both and I have to say that waiting till birth is so much more fun. Any of my future pregnancies will be surprise gender babies too.

  • Depends to income at the time... and job type of the dad, etc..

Unrelated to income, I always found it avoids hassle to prepare... so finding out the gender can help me prepare... lol though I know babies don't have that much gender differences.. no period as yet, no need for bra or boxers etc lol... hmm, I never really thought about that.. I should research differences in ""needs"" for babies of different gender.. and depending on that

Will we be able to go collect all those stuff at once, when the baby is here , or is it better to collect it over a period of time.

    • When they are just babies they all need the same things regardless of gender

  • I'm currently actually ten weeks pregnant with our second child, and as we our first one we have both agreed and decided that we very much want it to be a huge pleasant surprise, not only for us but for the whole families.

It was so funny to listen and watch both my mother and mil discussing and sometimes disagreeing with what I was carrying the first time... So, let's keep the game going. lol

  • Find out at the birth, GR parties are the biggest load of BS going, the trend was started by Jenna Karvunidis threw a party at which she announced the baby’s sex by cutting into a cake filled with pink icing. She wrote about the event on her blog, and her post went viral. now she wishes she never done it :

  • Have had 3 and each time didn't find out until the birth and wouldn't do it differently :)

    • Soo cute that you had surprise babies

    • For me it was so exciting :)

  • I'm totally going to find out what it is soon as I can, being my first I want to be as ready as possible at home. I still have a while though before we can find out.

  • Definitely wait til i give birth. Too many people here were told by doctors that theg were having the opposite sex of what they actually had. No thanks. I’d tell people to buy green, yellow or white neutral color gifts. Im all for blue being for boys and pink being for girls but i want items of the other 3 color until i give birth

  • We didn't do the gender reveal party thing- but we did find out ahead of time.

  • I've had ideas for a gender reveal and baby shower for years now. I'm too anxious to wait til birth.

  • I am not living in china, so I don't care that much about the baby's gender. :)

  • I will want to wiat ultrasound can be tricky. Did you did yours on blood test? I never did a blood test I was told I was having a girl once my baby was born my baby turn out to be a boy 😂 I have to return everything to the store lol

    • My two older kids I did ultrasound at 16 weeks and found out the gender. Youngest was a surprise

  • I would want to find out right away

    • Earilest you can do it is at 8-9 weks

    • I would go with 11 weeks... to be sure

    • Yeah the blood test are a little crazy. Men literally cannot be in the room cause it can give a false boy result if any male DNA is around. At least with the at home test it is this way

  • I'd want to know, and no matter the gender whether it's a baby boy or baby girl, this chick right here is going to be shopping like crazy for all kind of baby stuff 😅🥰🛍️

    • Baby shopping is soo fun

  • That would be my partners choice because I have no strong opinion on knowing when.

  • I would want to experience the element of surprise after the delivery.

  • I myself would want to learn beforehand but everyone else can learn the gender of the baby after it's born well aside from the mother of course she gets to know beforehand as well but just me and the mother everyone else can shove off and wait

  • Couldn't care less. They'd never get that far.

    • @agape93 That's so sad, but perfectly understandable and totally acceptable. x

    • I know:) appreciate the acceptance

    • @agape93 As always, you're most welcome indeed.

  • I did. Helped us plan purchases.

  • The shit they pump into you to find out is NOT good for the baby!!

    • Haha blood test or ultrasound aren't dangerous 🤣

    • The one where they use a scanner that they run over your stomach.

    • They have to do that regardless to make sure the baby is healthy

  • I'd like to be as prepared as possible for when the baby comes, so I want to know what I'm having. I also just don't like surprises. 😂

  • I would want to find out the gender so I could start thinking of what to name the child

  • So we can buy stuff before it's born.

  • Since I ain't a girl I logically can't get pregnant but if I did ended up actually getting a girl pregnant I kinda don't want her to tell me the baby gender, I prefer to actually keep it a surprise.

  • Not a gender revel party but just gind out during the pregnancy and make sure that's the baby shower is going great

  • I guess doctor would spoil me this even if I wanted haha

    • Oh doctors actually love the surprise babies. Had all the doctors and nurse watching my birth just to find out the gender

    • Hope you were pleased with the results :)

    • Yes very happy and it helped me not have gender disappointment
