Sexual Health In your opinion, do rapists deserve to die?

So I was watching Dexter on netflix and it was that episode where Dex wants to kill a guy cause he killed another guy, but then found out that he only killed him cause he raped him. So Dexter let him go and asked him if he deserved to die, and the guy said yes. So I thought about making a poll here to see what people think. Ps: this includes any way to die and be killed, not only death penalty.

what crime is worth a life and which one isn't? This question is even more important if the criminal didn't kill someone himself. And when is rape worth the death penalty? There is a reason why there are different lengths of jail you can get for rape. When someone gives consent to sex but then says stop during the act and you don't do it, is it the same as raping a small child? Just to name 2 of many questions popping up with this topic. Also, our juridical system is based on the fact that people can change. Killing them ignores this completely.
Also, rotting for the rest of your life in jail can be a bigger punishment than death in my opinion

Murder is considered the worst crime because there isn't much of anything worse than murder. I'm sorry, but murder is just the worst crime humanity can commit
I forgot to also say they shouldn't die because they are murderers, they should be arrested. But, in Dexter's case, Florida has the death penalty. So why not satisfy his urges?

My point is that they're both considered rape in the current justice system, so someone who had drunk sex and one person says later that it was non consensual because they feel slutty or something, get's the same punishment as someone who violently forced another person to have sex means that rape, until handled better, should not get a blanket punishment like death.

I think that rapists are t dealt with appropriately, their sentences are never long enough, they should be dealt with very harshly, but I don't agree with the death penalty , but only because of mistakes being made
