Superb Opinion

  • You said is a girlfriend MERELY a private prostitute, my answer is no.

However if you said "is part of being a girlfriend similar to being a private prostitute" or "is there overlap between being a girlfriend and being a private prostitute" I think that is more likely to be a yes, however this depends on individual relationships.

Another way to look at this is to ask the question "is a prostitute a girlfriend for hire?" I would also say the answer to that is no, however there probably is some overlap as far as what everybody is trying to get. I think asking it from that direction, people may not be as defensive or react as strongly.

Anyway I will say that half the time I have sex with my fiance it is just to keep him happy (half the time I am really in the mood and want it) and if we are being honest we both know it is more likely to happen when he does nice things for me which do not need to be financial but sometimes are, for example taking me to a nice dinner or buying something I want for the apartment. So, I do not think the concept of this question is v. far off, but I think the wording is likely to bug a lot of people. JMO!

  • Depends on the type of man you're dating. If you're dating a shit person, then they'll say yes. But if you find a "man", he will be able to tell you otherwise. Your partner is your best friend. They are your partner, your strength and your encouragement. It is the person you trust most in the world, that you allow them to have that intimacy with you. Your partner is the person you know will stand by you through the good and bad. They are the person that when you are not able to hold yourself up, they will be your leaning hand. They are the person you can be vulnerable with. That is what a true man and/or woman will say.

  • All relationships in nature are a form of exchange. A sacrifice for a gain. Some are reciprocated and some are not.

A girlfriend is not merely a prostitute. A prostitute offers sex for fast money. The prostitute risks their health and safety but gains easy money in that she (or he but rare) doesn't need to offer anything more than her physical presence for a short time. Financially, the prostitute is the winner here. The customer is both out of pocket and risks their health. They have only satisfied their urge temporarily. To regularly pay that sort of money for sex is a very large expense.

A girlfriend on the other hand is more of a mutual exchange. She is there for much more than just sex. A girlfriend is an investment in not only personal companionship and potentially future financial partnership but also in future generations. And more importantly this exchange is not as one sided. It might not be equal and that depends on the behaviour of either partner. You do get the sucker and cheat dynamic here which is less likely during a prostitution exchange.

  • Only if she let's herself be one. The best relationship I ever had was with a girl with whom I did not have sex. She is also the only ex I would ever consider get back together with. We ended it because she moved to the East Coast to go to school.

  • Not at all...

  • Well there is money involved then probably if it's given before or after sex.. i would say definitely but as a general role.. i don't thinks that's even thought about..

  • Not at all. I always enjoyed the company, the fun together and of course a lot of sex.

  • A lot of girls are. It just depends on if she's doing wife duties without husband level commitment.

    • You can’t compare a wife to a fk prostitute but you can compare a girlfriend. A wife has an equal share of duties like her husband. Equal means shared responsibilities and wants thus not a whore for sex

  • Because he didn't make her an honest woman? or you saying it because you antisexual?

  • I’m not getting paid for it.

  • no? has nothing to do with money, is a real connection and relatiosnship, it is romantic

  • Do you get paid by your boyfriend after sex? Or are you refusing sex if he hasn't done enough transactions. If so yes you are a prostitute.

  • huh? the prostitute gets paid to LEAVE after intimacy. girlfriends should stay for breakfast (unless barney gets rid of her)

  • if she's a prostitute the boy is a gigolo

  • No we have a choice to deny sex

  • How could anyone tell u this

  • Of course not. A man doesn't have exclusivity or a partnership with a girlfriend

    • * prostitute, not girlfriend

  • Only if she allows him to treat her as such.

  • Some guys do even now and I did at 18.

  • If he has to pay for your love, I think so. Is it really love at this point?

  • Not usually, but sometimes.

  • No hell no

  • No, you pay prostitutes and they cheat on everyone they are with, a girlfriend is exclusive good company and affection for free.

  • Oh dear you've opened a can of worms.
