Is black really beautiful?

Hi I am kind of new to g@g and I wanted to know what you think about this 😊

So i was sitting in class behind two boys, one was black and one was white when I overhear them talking about girls. They were laughing and listing what they find beautiful in girls. Then, the black guy pipes up and says, "Dark skinned girls are ugly". 

That really got my hopes down and made me feel really bad about myself. I see in the media and other places and they always list dark skinned black girls as the least valued in terms of attractiveness. That really hurts due to the fact that I have dark skin and kinky curly hair naturally. Is this true that men don't find us desirable? I've seen beautiful dark skinned ladies around where I live and this just hurts to know that even members of our own race thinks this way about us. 

And please do not leave racist comments. If you do I will report.

Well it depends on the person really. But according to all researches black girls are the least desirable. The vast majority of men prefer Asian women, Latina or white women. I personally don't think all black girls are ugly, some of them are gorgeous. Maybe men don't find black women's features attractive. Everyone has their own preferences, some prefer Asians, some prefer white, some prefer black, brown, latina, middle easterns. So dont think about it too much

Nobody is beautiful or ugly based on their skin color. There's beauty all over this world if we just allow ourselves to open our eyes to it. The problem is we are all raised with certain biases and most of us aren't willing to challenge those biases especially when it comes to beauty. Many people consider that to be innate when it really is driven by the cultures we live in. It's also driven by the stereotypes we are taught by our environment.

Hey dark-skinned women even have some things that other women don't in my opinion. Plenty have a sort of glow that is just beautiful. I don't quite know how to describe it but it's something that light skinned people generally don't have. Not to say light skinned people are less attractive or anything.

In some of the answers here you can see it reeks of superiority too. Some guys have said they don't want their kids to "look black" as if that's worse than looking white. Kids usually end up with traits from both parents but since we focus so much on skin color we are blinded to that. That's the beauty of genetics. We are all total mutts and I think we forget about that at times.

As usual I go off on a tangent but yeah black is just as beautiful as everything else even if our eurocentric beauty standards say differently.

I am white I find white people and Asian people more attractive. But that sint to say all black girls are ugly. I know a great many of black girls I'm attracted to, I just know more white and Asian girls. That's my preference. And yes I think most guys' preference is white girls, that doesn't mean black girls are unattractive in the least.

There are some serious hot black girls in porn industry lol but I almost never see them in RL, maybe I seen like 10 at max but I don't live in tropical lands so that makes it harder. Being dark skinned doesn't affect beauty, having other ugly feature might do it but a healthy looking colour is not bad at all.
