Racism towards black people is because a majority of blacks are less educated from being held back by the white man. There's a reason for everything, and black people have reasons why they are found in jail more often, that they aren't as highly educated, why they are on welfare and usually abusing the system, why they are selling drugs or guns on the steets. A lot of those reasons are legit reasons too... but the problem is that most white people including myself don't care what the reason is and we will always profile black people that way. This DOES NOT mean that I am racist. I'm educated enough to know that everyone deserves a fair shot before descriminating them. But, I'm not going to lie, profiling should be allowed and I don't see a problem with it. If you're a black male, in a predominantly white wealthy neighborhood walking around after dark... an officer should be able to question you without you flipping out. Same goes for a white kid in a nice car driving into the ghetto. It goes both ways, so everyone needs to stop your bitching. If you want respect, earn it. If you want to complain about the issues in this country, then do something about it. Pick up a book, educate yourself, go out and vote, get involved in the community, etc. By the way, my dock is bigger than most black people I know so LOL to that!

Actually it's a bit more interesting than that. Europeans first began enslaving Africans not because they were black but because they were pagans. It was considered a good deed in the eyes of God to redeem their souls and if compulsory servitude would do that then it was a good thing. Initially the (now christian) children of African slaves were free. It was only when it became obvious how useful and cheap it would be to keep them in perpetual servitude that the laws were changed. The racial animus seems to have followed the pocket book. In other words blacks weren't thought inferior and then made slaves, they were made slaves and then determined to be inferior as a justification for keeping them slaves.

Racism Occurs for one of the following reasons:

1. it is often a "Taught" behavior... past down from generations that have actually gone through it.

2. Racism is cried so often to get attention... like the girl that cried wolf. It is used to get sympathy and special treatment...(I. E. affirmative action, which is the biggest crock of shit I've ever seen. And is the cause of the racism I see in people I know.)

3. Racism can occur from being a victim by a person of that race... mugging, rapes, harassed by a group of that race.
