Its a genuine excuse. There are lots of genuine excuses in life why we can't have sex. The question isn't how to avoid every excuse, it's why isn't he motivated to work around the problems or get through them?
Well being honest it can be hard on the jaw and tongue if you're being very intensive there. I am not sure how long you are usually down on your guy but double it and see if your neck starts getting stiff, it probably would.
