The Patriots owner, Robert Kraft, was caught trying to solicit prostitutes.
It says that the women there are held against their will, which I'm not in favor of.
I think prostitution should be legal because then it creates a black market and it makes it dangerous for the sex workers. Plus, it's odd that having sex in front of a camera for money (aka porn) is legal, but having sex without a camera (aka prostitution) isn't?
What are your thoughts? Should prostitution be legalized?

I'm honestly shocked how many men are against porn lol

What Girls & Guys Said
27 66No.
Do I think all prostitutes and Johns should be deported?
Yes.
Do I care what bad things befall any of them?
No.
Every person, man or woman who are active in the sex business should be executed
Damn that's a pretty extreme opinion. So strippers, porn stars, prostitutes- they should all die?
Okay i admit i was joking, but only partly. I think anything that involves sex and money is disgusting. Strippers are okay i guess, but i absolutely hate porn and everyone whos part of it. The distribution and consumption of porn should be illegal in my eyes. Im not religious at all, i just hate porn more than anything in this world
Why? If they all consent and are adults, why are you so against it?
Oh man, i would have to write a roman to explain that. My reasoning is way beyond what you could imagine.
I'm all ears, or eyes
"Again you are making ridiclious comparisons. Stop bringing single mothers, poor people or smokers into this discussion. "So following that protocol, based on your logic, we would jail poor parents and single moms." Please stop... "based on your logic, we would jail poor parents and single moms." No, i never said how we should deal with these people. Thats a whole other story. Its extremely hard to decide how to treat prostitutes or drug users. Thats something thats always highly debated in politics. Here in germany for example, criminals, prostitutes and drug users are not jailed and punished. The state believes in rehabilitation, not in punishment. Thats why pedophiles in my country get interviewed in tv instead of being shunned by society. I dont know how to deal with these things. Its a really hard choice to make. Im just saying that, prostitution shouldn't be just left alone and "who cares lol its their body". "Wanting something legal doesn't mean I want to promote it. I'm for tolerance, not acceptance." " I just think the principle of freedom is more important than my morality" These are really good points you make, but you have to draw a line somewhere down the line. Meaning, this line doesn't include single mothers, homeless people or people who eat meat. But it includes prostitutes, drug users, drug dealers and maybe others. My hate for porn and pornstars is very unusual so im not gonna include that here. As i said before, you have to protect people from themselves and draw a line. A line where tolderance and freedom ends, otherwise it gets out of control. You seem like a smart person, so can't you understand why letting prostitutes and drug users "alone" causes direct or indirect harm in the bigger picture? Obviously things are not black and white. Prostitutes are not as bad for society as drug users or drug dealers are.
Prostitution should be decriminalized, rigidly regulated, licensed and taxed. Regulation would involve frequent STD tests, drug tests and oversight to prevent sex trafficking/sex slavery.
I have two viewpoints regarding it. The religious viewpoint says NO but the Libertarian one says consulting adults entering into an agreed exchange of value, with regulation reducing peripheral criminal activity.
Doesn't matter if i disagree with the behavior, its not affecting me, i don't take part in it. I don't like that men and women take part in it, but it doesn't mean it should be illegal.
Legalize it, and have the Federal Government tax and regulate the shit out of it.
Yes, it should be legal, regulated and taxed.
hell yea it should be legal. and if you get aids from that prostitute, you knew the risks and should be euthanized.
Will be safer if it was legal
it is where I'm from and it's the right thing
Sweet, where you from?
@virginme Germany
Damn.. I gotta visit Germany soon. 😎🍻
It has proven impossible to stop.
Thus make it legal and tax it.
The tax should also be ridiculously high to further discourage its use in my opinion.
Yes.

Prostitution is not illegal in my country. I think it's better to legalize it and regulate it... like giving periodic health check ups to discard any STIs. Illegal prostitution is a hazard to public health.
well it is where i live. i don't see a problem with it being legal, cause that decriminalizes the whole industry. no need for human trafficing and other crimes that usually go along with it. it makes the business more clean, cause as a customer you'll rather go into a well kept establishment that sticks to all the regulations than into a shady dirty backally place.
having said that, i grossly disagree with paying for sex overall but it's my life and my decision so i don't get to decide for everyone.
I feel it should be legalized, but there’s no way for the government to profit from it (I. e. place a tax on it), so it probably never will.
Couldn't they tax it like any other profession?
Nah.
It's even better if porn becomes illegal too...
I'm not a fan on porn to. What's you're reason?
What's wrong with porn?
A lot of negative side effects.
Porn is a very bad business. Destroys the youth, spoils relationship, makes materilastic view of women & men body. Develops a completely different view of sexual desires & fantasies. Few categories of porn change the view of women or men, with low levels These are the normal damage. The extreme ones are hard to describe. I had to get involved in No PMO to remove these from my mind, has been years still living with consequences of watching porn.
If anyone would like a wrong path for their country, or want to make money. They sure would make such things legal.
Sure, but why is it the government's job to stop it?
Because govt represents the country and it's responsibility to make sure countrymen get better and grow appropriately. That is why we elect them. The govt is centralised and has high authority, so it can take actions which common people can't. If govt doesn't do that, you can imagine where would the countrymen lead themselves by distractions, like lust in this case...
I I ruled my country I would ban everything that's bad to people pronto.
Yes. Even I thought that. But opposition will come from everywhere. People and businessmen these days are clever enough to always find a way to defend themselves or make sure it doesn't get 100% impacted. Loopholes, money, support, Till one struggles with all these and try to do something good, there is little chance he would be alive and fine...😂😂
yes but if you had a government system where that would work it would be awesome a country without alcohol, soda, cigarettes, porn, etc would be amazing and worth fighting for
It sure is... It would be better than heaven.
why do you want prostitution to not be legal btw?
Women have desires of money. And men have desires of women and lust. This could lead to greed, and beyond. Spoil up everything!
You do know that a country with prostitution has less rapes and some men need there lust to be taken care off or they suffer. Even then?
Prostitution spoils family. You shld know to what extent. Last time I read an article on internet which said according to a news a man went to have sex with money and found out it was his daughter. This was the very main reasons some memes are made these days.. It has been around the era when greed increased rapidly. Also prostitution makes any human involved, less valuable. It's like those animals who tend to have sex with any partner anytime. Prostitution makes women look like a material, used for lust by paying money. Even the sex shld be done limited with appropriate person. You just visit a prostitute area and see for yourself how things work, women gets paid until certain age, soon she looses her attractiveness and is left of no use, old material. More and more young girls get involved in that, coz it's quick money method, hiding their face from others... When men pay for sex, they literally pay her for one whole night, they can do whatever irregardless. Many women are physically handled rough. Increases violence by men when a women doesn't listen to his commands. Coz her sex slave used to obey cmds. High escort service will flourish for some time, rich people will visit there and maintain standard, creates social inequality among women. At one point it shall be difficult to know who in their own family is doing which part of that business. Even after using protection it's not uncommon issue of STD & STI. It literally fucks up! This legalization of prostitution is seriously bad issue if rapes are of concern. Rapes happen coz men can't control themselves or are been swayed away by internet lust. Or sometimes women do such deeds which results them to get raped. One can live a peaceful live and be happy if they stay away from such things...
Prostitution is legal, just not in the USA ;)
Yes it's legal in civilized countries, where personal freedom matters.
"The land of the free", well not really, of course, you can always record the sex and call it porn, then it's legal in the USA.
Legalize, regulate, and tax it. Much safer for everyone. This is America and in America you should be free to do whatever you want to.
Hell yeah. Respect prostitutes ✌👍 honest & straight foreword.
No! Don't you think this world goes wrong enough nowadays?
and by making it illegal we can stop prostitution and make a better world? that's not how it works. prostitution has existed forever and will exist forever, no matter what the law says. you increase the danger for the sex workers by making it illegal and make it difficult for them to get help. by legalising it, you can offer help to the sex workers, give them insurance, take them out of the shady places where they get threatened and abused. you have better possibilities to fight human trafficking and can let those people who are okay with doing it live their life the way they want. legalising doesn't mean that you should promote it or make it an attractive job. it's about making it easier and better for the sex workers
@LiLaLydia Oh really? How can you be that sure?
sure about what? I said many things. that it won't go away by making it illegal? It has existed for thousands of years and there is not one country where prostitution is illegal and doesn't exist. also there are plenty of studies about it. and that a sex worker is more likely to get help (and accepts help) when they don't have to admit that they are working illegally and risk getting fined or even into jail should be self-evident
@LiLaLydia Murder exists everywhere as well. Do you want it to be legalized too?
oh now we are comparing an act of violence where one person is killed with a process of where 2 consenting adults have sex for money. yeah that totally makes sense
@LiLaLydia Cause prostitution has nothing to do with violence... Lol
did you even read or understand what I wrote? make it illegal so the victims of violence can get easier help. to make give them health care. to stop human trafficking. you're mixing everything together. no the act of prostitution itself is not violent. you have sex, with the only difference that you do it in exchange for money. it's supposed to be a service. if a sex worked is abused, beaten, forced against their will, then that's bad and needs to be stopped. but you don't do it by making it illegal because the illegality is one reason for it to happen. because it happens in the dark, in shady places, alone at some unknown persons house. sex workers are easy targets and are less likely to report an incident ("I got attacked while doing this illegal thing", see the issue?). if you have a brothel which is regularly controlled and where the workers are registered and can get help, they are less likely to get attacked because the risk for the attacker is much higher to get reported to the police.
make it legal*
@LiLaLydia I've read it all yeah... I still disagree
I think it's wrong that women are being given STDs, beaten, not compensated in a transaction that they agreed to, or even worse killed. Legalizing prostitution solves many of these issues.
I don't think it would solve anything. It would show acceptance towards something so exploitive and objectifying to women. As far as I'm concerned, I'm tired of this
The places that legalized it beg to differ
Prostitution should be Legalized and MARRIAGE should be BANNED...
