opposites attract! Often this counters the willingness to sleep naked but once the room thermostat is set, one's going to be comfortable and the other either too hot or cold = solution is one must wear clothes/PJs, extra covers while the other gets to be naked.
This will turn him on more & sex more often, yet it's touching him with the visual aides that usually strikes a spark.
Honestly, each person/relationship is different. With my boyfriend and I, our relationship isn't centered around sex regardless of sleeping naked or not. We sleep naked together all the time and it doesn't lead to sex. For us it has nothing to do with sex at all. It has to do with how freaking hot it is here during the summer with no air conditioning. Be sure to take a shower before having morning sex under those conditions. :)

You said he's weird about it, but it will be only the two of you and I can't really see how it could be unpleasant for you. It doesn't always lead to sex even though it's certainly very tempting. Maybe if you tried to sleep naked after sex he could accept it better.

My suggestion is to begin wearing less and less to bed. if you would normally wear pjs and undies loose the undies and wear boxers.. then just wear a long tshirt with undies onces he's used to that loose the undies abdwear just a long singlet. then nothing at all

Yeah, I've slept naked next to my partner a lot. No, it doesn't always lead to sex. If you're worried he'll dislike it, talk to him about it, communication is key.
Talk to him about it. Before going to bed next time tell him that you would like to try sleeping naked out of curiosity. And ask if he's okay with it.

Shit, I'm single and I sleep naked. It's more relaxing and you sleep better for some reason. I wish my girlfriend would've slept naked with me but we where to young and had no place private to do it. It is really sexy but I don't think it will always lead to sex.
