What are your thoughts on the 80 year old American, probably ex-soldier ammosexual who got scared of a limping unarmed black woman and killed her?

There's much more to the story, which you can explore in the links below for context and form your own conclusion. Should already be obvious where I stand

  • Why does his mugshot look like he wants to laugh? I feel so sorry for that woman, the only thing she did was ask about the package she was sent to receive. How can anyone not help but think what if that had been their mother? He acted very impulsively and should face the full consequences to say the least

    • It's so obvious he'd been waiting to put a bullet in someone

  • That's fucked up. I kind of understand him being on high-alert and everything and how it seemed suspicious but at the same time it's not excusable. They're both victims of some sick fuckers.

My dad and both grandparents got calls saying my brother was in Jail and needed to be bailed out, I think they spoofed my brother's voice too or some shit like that, but we never had any Uber driver come by. It's scary to think it could have evolved into what happened to these people. Luckily my family didn't believe those calls because my brother was already out of jail by that time.

  • This was obviously a total setup. They really need to find the person (s) who set this up, because they are the real guilty party, not the old man.

Of course that's only going by what's shown in this report, which is not from the most reliable source.

    • The old fart is just as guilty as the scammer, and they should throw an extra charge onto the scammer for impersonating an officer over the phone. Surely the scammers didn't expect anyone to get killed, which is the main reason they bolted. Cops were naiive if they actually thought he was gonna turn himself in. I hope they catch the scum

    • From the little that I know, I would not fault the man even a little bit. I put the blame 100% on the scammers and nobody else.

    • You don't think the old man had an itchy trigger finger?

  • Self defense pure and simple. He should be released from jail immediately and given a medal of honor. I wish everyone had the good sense to stand up for themselves and defend their lives against criminal threats.

    • Self defense from what exactly?

    • A perceived credible threat to his life. Under the principles of self defense all that is required is a reasonable fear that someone is about to kill or seriously injured you. If it turns out that some criminal has orchestrated events to make an innocent person appear to be a threat to any reasonable person then that sucks but there's no way he could have known that and so, acted in self defense 100%

  • He should spend the rest of his life in jail. Even if she was a part of the attempt to rob him she wasn't a danger to him and she was trying to leave so his life wasn't in danger.

  • The man wasn’t threatened by the woman. He was threatened by the psychos threatening him over the phone. When they sent someone to collect a $12k ransom, he reacted accordingly. It’s a tragedy. They’re both victims. Thanks to people like you, the investigation won’t go any further and a terrified old man will spend the rest of his life getting raped to death in prison. Good on ya.

    • As he should, along with the scammers Your statements are so contradictory.

    • I disagree. First of all, they weren’t “scammers”. They weren’t pretending to be a Nigerian prince who just needed a couple grand to collect his inheritance. Diminishing their crimes shows that you aren’t really interested in justice, but a narrative. Second of all, i believe in a person’s right to defend themselves; which means nothing in a world in which victims have to wait to be killed before their right to defend themselves is accepted by the majority. Third, you can’t have your world without victimizing people like him and me. Which puts you in the same category as the terrorists who orchestrated this crime. Which makes sense given the stance you’ve taken.

  • So he was being threatened and then the same people sent the uber driver to collect the "package" likely the money and he defended himself. Provided all of this information is accurate. Sucks for the woman but guy defended himself from what was a perceived threat to his life and well-being. Tragic sure but there was no malicious intent. If I was his lawyer I would push for self defense and trespassing defense. According to the video he didn't order the uber. Meaning that person very well could have been part of the "scam"

    • THREAT? Are you serious? The lady was limping and trying to get away from him. If he felt threatened by her, why did he block her path instead of letting her leave?

    • She wasn't reaching for anything. He even lied to police intially and said she was trying to rob his old wrinkly ass

    • "Tragic, sure..." - You wouldn't say that if it had been someone you cared about who had been shot by some dickhead with a tiny brain and too much testosterone!

  • Typical result of ammosexual culture and fragile white men. itsvsad.

  • But you voted for Biden for president who is 81

    • I actually didn't.

  • Sounded more like feeble minded senior citizen scared of technology. And that lady just happened to be ill timed.

Doesn't excuse it. He should still go to jail for the rest of his life. He's not a victim.

I'm not as old as this guy. But I'm arguably at times just as paranoid.🤣 But I don't shoot first and then sort it out later.

    • Thank you, I agree

  • Anything to help with overpopulation, he probably won't make it to trial

It's like what's left of the Nazis, they were teenagers who opened gates or filed papers and are now 90 and sentenced for war crimes but usually dying before the trial gets underway

    • That's completely different

    • I just mean he'll probably die before a trial can be set

    • If our justice system is slow, that's THEIR problem
